F rom its inception, insurance has served two crucial roles in society: creating a better
life for those who use it and providing critical stimulus for the society’s economic growth.
Through many centuries, in many parts of the world, the benefits of insurance have been
fostered by innovators, visionaries and leaders who have recognized insurance needs
and worked to fulfill them, often at great risk. These distinguished leaders are honored
through the Insurance Hall of Fame, the premier award in the insurance industry that is
regarded as the most important and prestigious one can achieve.
From small beginnings, the Insurance Hall of Fame’s roster of achievers has grown
to over 120 distinguished individuals representing every sector of insurance and every
corner of the world. What binds these Laureates together is their absolute conviction that
the insurance industry can and must serve society and individuals as a social duty. Each
Laureate has a story of personal triumph as well as professional achievement.
