The Parton’s’ have long been<br />
fanatical Motor Bike riders,<br />
Bobs Dad, 2 Bro<strong>the</strong>rs, 5 Uncles,<br />
2 Sons and Daughter<br />
( Lesley, Bobs’ daughter<br />
learnt at only 15 years old on<br />
a 1000 cc BMW on a Go-Cart<br />
track!) were all rid<strong>in</strong>g bikes<br />
before <strong>the</strong>y reached 15<br />
years of age. We started<br />
very young charg<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong>m<br />
firstly round <strong>the</strong> Farmlands<br />
and <strong>the</strong>n later, after we had<br />
all tamed down, on to <strong>the</strong><br />
roads. Steve, Bobs’ son even<br />
onto <strong>the</strong> racetrack, start<strong>in</strong>g<br />
his own rac<strong>in</strong>g team with <strong>the</strong><br />
Companies family name of<br />
ROPA RACING. His team of<br />
4 Bikes, 3 Ducati’s and an<br />
MV Augusta, went on to w<strong>in</strong><br />
<strong>the</strong> European Superbike<br />
Championship with Steve<br />
becom<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> European Superbike<br />
Champion <strong>in</strong> 2007 on<br />
his 916 Ducati.<br />
Nick Parton, Bobs’ oldest,<br />
now liv<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> Bahra<strong>in</strong> was <strong>the</strong><br />
<strong>International</strong> Relations Officer<br />
for RT 46 <strong>in</strong> Karlsruhe<br />
Steve Parton cannot get it any nearer to <strong>the</strong> ground<br />
on <strong>the</strong> way to becom<strong>in</strong>g European Champion at<br />
Mugello, Italy <strong>in</strong> July 2007<br />
Steve Parton visually delighted at<br />
hav<strong>in</strong>g become <strong>the</strong> European<br />
Superbike Champion <strong>in</strong> 2007<br />
for many years. We were<br />
never able to get Steve <strong>in</strong>to<br />
RT he was always out on his<br />
bike! but <strong>the</strong>y would not<br />
take my daughter Lesley!!<br />
Bob Parton br<strong>in</strong>gs his Ducati back <strong>in</strong>to l<strong>in</strong>e through<br />
<strong>the</strong> Suedkurve try<strong>in</strong>g to keep up with <strong>the</strong>m at <strong>the</strong><br />
Hockenheimr<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> Germany <strong>in</strong> August last year<br />

Bob still rides today his<br />
beloved Ducati Monster<br />
900, despite <strong>the</strong> advanc<strong>in</strong>g<br />
years, even on <strong>the</strong> racetrack<br />
often “compet<strong>in</strong>g” <strong>in</strong><br />
as many Round Table Tours<br />
and all of <strong>the</strong> 41 <strong>International</strong><br />
Bike Tours that have<br />
taken place to date. Any<br />
riders who would like to put<br />
<strong>the</strong>ir name onto <strong>the</strong> <strong>International</strong><br />
41 Bikers list may<br />
do so directly with Bob, <strong>the</strong><br />
names on this list will always<br />
be <strong>in</strong>formed of any “bikers<br />
event” tak<strong>in</strong>g place and enable<br />
you to participate if it<br />
