Why we give to PEF’s Endowment Fund . . . Carol and Fred Gregory “Our four children are graduates of PVPUSD schools. We give to the Endowment Fund because we are grateful for what our children have received. We want to take care of the short and long-range needs of our outstanding public schools.” The Gift That Keeps on Giving One thing is certain, public school funding will remain uncertain for years to come. Gifts to the Endowment Fund are invested, and remain as the corpus of the fund in perpetuity. A percentage of the Fund’s earnings may be distributed annually to fund specific programs and staff agreed upon by the district and PEF’s Board of Trustees (in accordance with PEF’s Endowment Fund Spending Policy). PEFs Endowment Fund at Work This year, a distribution from the Endowment Fund is making it possible to continue the World Language program at all elementary schools and is providing major support for the computer science and engineering programs at both high schools: PVIT at Palos Verdes High and SMERT at Peninsula High.
Grandparents Club Calling All Grandparents! The PEF Grandparents Club is encouraging membership from grandparents of all Palos Verdes public school students! What better way to support grandchildren than to help their schools maintain important educational programs? Membership starts at $100, but great “bragging” opportunites are included at the following levels: $365 Level – Dollar A Day Includes the Quarterly “Bulletin Board” newsletter, listing on the Grandparents Club page of our website – you can even include a photo. Plus, a “PEF Proud Supporter” license plate frame. $1,000 Level – Major Donor Friend Includes the above, plus a half-page ad in the Main Event catalog (you can include a photo of grandkids and “brag“), an upgraded license plate frame, and invitations to Major Donor events. $2,000+ Level – Major Donor “Bronze” Includes the above, plus your family name on our Donor Recognition Wall at the Promenade on the Peninsula. Above all, grandparents will have the satisfaction of knowing they are helping maintain programs and staff that impact their grandchild’s education.
