Development of the own raw material base and self-sufficiency in iron
ore
Development of the local iron ore base – securing over 20% of needs in iron
ore in 2008 and over 30% of the same by 2011 due to:
� increase in production of iron ore within the Magnitogorsk and Bakal ore fields;
� increase in processing of iron-containing production waste.
Construction of Prioskolsky GOK in Belgorod region:
� securing of up to 80% of the main production site’s needs in iron ore, along with
the local iron ore base, following the implementation of the first stage of the
project;
� securing of up to 100% of the needs following the implementation of the second
stage of the project.
