Prerequisite: None
DESIGNED FOR:
Engineers, operators, maintenance, safety and training personnel responsible
for issues associated with combustion in fired equipment.
COURSE OVERVIEW:
Combustion Dynamics is taught by professor Ben Zinn from Georgia Institute of
Technology and John Zink personnel. This course demonstrates the essential
theory and practical knowledge needed to work with, diagnose and treat
combustion-related instability problems in fired equipment applications.
Attendees are invited to bring specific operating problems for discussion with
the instructor or for discussion with a group of peers who have experienced
similar situation at their facilities.
SOME TOPICS COVERED DURING THE COURSE INCLUDE:
• Combustion instabilities
• Types and causes of instabilities
• Flame response to flow perturbations
• Approaches to preventing combustions instabilities
• Instabilities in industrial applications
COURSE OVERVIEW:
Industrial Combustion Pollution and Control provides the essential theory
and practical knowledge needed to work with and control pollution from
combustion processes and equipment. This two-day course will help students
understand the fundamentals of industrial combustion, how to control pollution
and the applications associated with industrial combustion pollution. Attendees
are invited to bring specific pollution and control issues for discussion with
the Institute instructor or for discussion with a group of peers who have
experienced similar situations at their facilities.
Each student will receive a copy of the book
Industrial Combustion Pollution
and Control by C.E. Baukal.
