J acques R. Hammond and Robert W. Lochner, of the senio r class, were awarded first and second prizes, respectively, in the Davis prize speaking competition conducted in chapel in March and April. II NUMERAL NOTATI NS II '69. Dean Arthur E. Main, of the Alfred Th eological Semina ry and department of religious education at Alfred University, is the only one in active service of the fou r surviving m embers of the Rochester Theological Seminary class of 1872. Dr. Main, who is past his 80th year, has been dean of the Alfred Th eological School since 1901 and served as pres ident of Alfred University from 1893 to 1895. '72. A final tribute was paid to the late Dr. Frank S. Fosd ick, for thirty years principal of Masten Park High School, Buffalo, when the Buffalo School Board recently announced th at the name of the M a sten Park High School had been changed to th at of Frank S. Fosdick. '76. Joseph T. Alling, president of the Alling & Cory Com p any, of Rochester, is listed among t he heavy contributors to the Anti-Saloon League of New York, to which he presented a gift of $ 3,000 in 1917 and $ 1,000 in 1920. Ex-'79. John :&. Abbott is now serving as president of the Livingston County Bar Association for his 22nd successive year. '80. Worthy H. Kinney has resigned as principa l of the Lyons Union Sohool, which position he has held con tinuo u sly for 39 years. During his term of service two new school houses have been built. The second building, erected in 1923, is considered one of the finest school s in the state. '82. George A. Gil lete, attorney at Rochester, recen tl y returned from a four months' t ri p through Europe, the Near East and Northern Africa. Ex-'82. Dr. J. W. LeSeur, of Batavia, special rep resent ati v e and member of President P. E. Crowley'S personal staff, was toastmaster for th e annual banquet of the Fall B rook Association of the Pennsylvania Division, New York Central Railroad, which was held at Corni n g on May 5th. '83. A. G. Warren, form e rly of Rochester, is now connected with the Col w ell Pharmacal Corporation of New York Ci ty, of wh ich James W. Greene, '84, is president. '85. J us tice Adol ph J. Rodenbeck, of the Supre me Court, Rochester, was married to Miss Blanche B. Brown at New York City on March 16th. Miss Brown was J ustice Rodenbeck's efficient secretary for many years. '90. James B. Moran, of DeLand, Fla., noted economist and writer, recentl y addressed the members of the Phi Sigm a Eta, com me rcial fraternity of Stetson University on "Economics and
