Due to increasing demands in the drive technology<br />
field, the “High Fatigue Strength” (HFS) series was<br />
developed. These <strong>chains</strong> have an optimized fatigue<br />
strength and resistance wear due to the high load<br />
applications the <strong>chains</strong> were designed for.<br />

The pins in HFS <strong>roller</strong> <strong>chains</strong> are highly alloyed,<br />
case hardened steel which give the pins greater<br />
shear strength and a longer flex fatigue life.<br />
Additionally, a high quality surface is bonded to the<br />
pins during cold drawing of the pins. Also, the pins<br />
have a high wear resistance due to grinding of the<br />
pin surface.<br />
The seamless bush provides a more uniformly<br />
round surface than steel pipe, which gives the final<br />
product a more precise length, increased wear resistance<br />
and minimal feed extension.<br />
The good bore quality of the link plate holes, a prerequisite<br />
for a good press fit, gives the HFS <strong>roller</strong><br />
chain its extraordinary fatigue strength.<br />
Finally, a seamless and tempered <strong>roller</strong> provides<br />
and additional lever of impact and wear strength.
