option works best when the language-specific Color Coding option Modified lines is enabled<br />

(Tools > Options > Languages > [LanguageCategory] > [Language] > General).<br />

• Auto restore selective display - When set to True, Selective Display is saved and restored when<br />

saving and opening files, respectively. Selective Display for the last 200 files is saved.<br />

• Auto restore symbol browser tree - When set to True, the symbol browser tree in the Symbols<br />

Tool Window is restored across edit sessions. The currently selected position is always restored<br />

regardless of this setting.<br />

Virtual Memory Options<br />

Virtual memory options are shown below (Tools > Options > Application Options > Virtual Memory).<br />

NOTE You must restart <strong>SlickEdit</strong>® for these settings to take effect.<br />

The options are described as follows:<br />

• Spill file path - Specifies the directory for spill and temporary files. On Windows, this defaults to<br />

the directory specified the TEMP environment variable. If it does not exist, the directory specified<br />

by the TMP environment variable is used. On UNIX, this defaults to the directory specified by the<br />

TMP environment variable. Press Delete to clear this field, specifying the default.<br />
