Key Data of the Development Cooperation 2005
18 new projects with a total volume of 4,18 Million Euro have been approved, thereof 1,83 Million
worth of donations. With these new projects 20.400 families and 122.500 persons in 193
communities have been reached. The total volume of all ongoing projects amounts up to 17,5
Million Euro.

After more than five years of intensive work, the Karl Kuebel Institute for Development Education,
close to the city of Coimbatore in the South-Indian State of Tamil Nadu, has been distinguished:
both in its main sphere of competence in training of project staff as well as with its international
conferences.

With its modern learning infrastructure, the capacity to accommodate 100 guests, but especially
due to its professional personnel the institute is in a good position on the market of providers for
training and education. Moreover the reorganisation of the management and new operational
sequences in the interchange between India and Germany provide more transparency: The
institute has been tied closer to the section development cooperation, and the financial monitoring
has been improved.
The offering of training has shifted in the direction towards “customised” programmes in the sense
of being specific for the need and demand of the training of staff of the customers. These have
been especially requested in 2005. On inquiry the premises are rented out as a conference hall.
