Upgraded to Version 3.10
Software manufacturer PACE
has rolled out version 3.10 of
its aircraft performance suite
Pacelab Mission/SCAP. Program
supports a wide array of
in-flight and airfield performance
investigations. Being
off-the-shelf, Windows-based
software tools, Pacelab
Mission/SCAP can be readily
applied by aircraft/engine manufacturers
and aircraft operators
alike.
Prime capabilities are rapid
build-up of computation scenarios
and availability of single

Joint Cargo Handling Operation
With Swissport
Swissport and Lufthansa Cargo
have joined forces in a joint
cargo handling operation. The
two companies are locating
their cargo handling activities
under one roof at Hanover
Airport. The joint operation
began on July1. Swissport will
manage daily cargo handling.
A joint operation—legally possible
only since 2001—is a cooperative
undertaking in which
each retains its legal autonomy.
Staff of both partners retain
their previous company
status.

Once the joint operation gets
underway, the two partners
jointly handle cargo for more
than 40 airlines at Hanover airport.
That is equivalent to
about 75 percent of the cargo
volume routed through the airport.
