text entry mode indicators
When you select the Primary or Secondary text entry mode,
the following indicators identify the text entry setting:

abÔ abÕ Tap, no capital
letters
AbÆ AbÖ Tap, capitalize next
letter only
ABù ABú Tap, all capital
letters
abÛ abÚ iTAP®, no capital
letters
AbÜ AbØ iTAP, capitalize next
letter only
ABü ABû iTAP, all capital
letters
The following indicators identify Numeric or Symbol entry
mode:
non-text entry mode
à numeric mode
Ä symbol mode
capitalization
Press 0 in any text entry screen to change text
case.
tap method
This is the standard method for entering text on your
phone.
Regular Tap method cycles through the letters and
numbers of the key you press. The Tap Extended method
cycles through letters, numbers, and symbols. If Tap or
Tap Extended is not available as the Primary or Secondary entry
mode, see page 21.
