17 Cuando tenía cuatro años me perdí en la peatonal. Mejor dicho, perdí a mi mamá. Íbamos caminando con ella y en un entrevero de polleras me tomé de la falda equivocada. Avancé unos pasos hasta que me di cuenta de que no reconocía la tela y menos la sonrisa de la mujer que me miraba por encima. Di media vuelta y corrí a buscar a mi mamá que se había quedado prendida de alguna vidriera y que, sin volverse, me ofrecía la mano como si nunca me hubiera perdido de vista. Está bien, fueron sólo cinco segundos, pero segundos de desesperación, y además a esa edad el tiempo pasa mucho más lento que ahora. Ahora es esta tarde de septiembre, cuando avanzo por el salón donde ocurre la segunda Jam en Familia y veo a una nena de esa misma edad correr con esa misma desesperación, detrás de su mamá que avanza entre cuerpos desconocidos que se mueven al ritmo de una música inquietante. Sería terrible perder a la mamá de uno en una jam. Más que en la peatonal, en un punto. Porque incluso se correría el riesgo de encontrarla bailando con extraños. Mi solidaridad con esa nena. Avanzo, giro, me tiro al piso. Otra escena. Un papá y una mamá abrazados, un nene que se mueve en entorno a esa estructura tratando de romperla. Y de nuevo, otra imagen de mi niñez: mis padres bailando un tema lento y entre sus piernas yo, intentando abrir espacio como un árbitro de boxeo. Es claro el mensaje: vale de a uno conmigo, vale los dos conmigo, pero no vale los dos sin mí. Porque si no, ¿qué hago yo? ¿Me voy a vivir al mundo? ¿Me voy a bailar a la jam? Avanzo, me arrastro entre los cuerpos que se mueven y más escenas aparecen. Algunas mucho menos dramáticas, como la de esa otra nena que se transformó en cangrejo y camina de costado atrapando a todos con sus pinzas. Viene hasta mí, me prende y caigo vencido. La nena se va feliz. Ella vino con su tía y claro, es mucho menos terrible perder a una tía en una jam. Además, la investidura de cangrejo da mucha independencia. Igual, cada tanto la cangrejito chequea las coordenadas de la tía. Con todo, esta vez hay mucho más aire, más apertura, más espíritu colectivo. Ayudó la dinámica, el juego inicial que diseñamos, lo que aprendimos de la experiencia anterior. Pero también, simplemente, el tiempo. Hay familias que vienen por segunda vez. En la primera jam recuerdo a muchos niños refugiados en el interior de la kinesfera materna. A veces ofrecíamos con mis compañeras nuestro cuerpo como puente de salida. No siempre lo lográbamos. En algún caso ni siquiera nos atrevimos. Hoy no hizo falta. Hoy, entre todos, rompimos el cascarón y empezamos a gestar otra cosa. Hacia el final de la tarde, los niños se mueven libres por el salón, varios juegan conmigo; las madres y mis compañeras, en el piso, nos miran sonriendo.
