3 OperationGB3.1Insert/replacebatteriesOne button cell batterie (type CR2032) is already inserted in your new scale.The insulating strip must be pulled out of the battery compartment onthe underside of the unit before the scale can be operated. Replace thebatterie if the battery change symbol "LO" appears in the display or ifnothing appears in the display when the device is switched on. To do this,open the battery compartment beneath the device and insert one cellbatterie (type CR2032). Please note polarity (positive pole upwards; facingtowards the lid). Close the battery compartment again.WARNINGBATTERY SAFETY INFORMATION• Do not disassemble batteries!• Clean the battery and device contacts if necessary beforeputting in the batteries!• Remove discharged batteries from the device immediately!• Increased risk of leakage, avoid contact with skin, eyes andmucous membranes! Open the battery compartment on the underside of the unit and setthe weight unit you desire using the small switch. Close the batterycompartment up again.11
