GENERAL SETUP & OPERATION, ELECTRIC MODEL SVF-10E-3-1.) Place fan in a clean air environment.Note: Air quality of the confined space should be tested prior to ventilation. If air qualityof the confined space is unacceptable, consult a trained professional. If hazardous orexplosive gases or dusts are present, use fan Model SVF-10EXP.2.) Inspect fan for damaged or worn parts. Inspect all ducting and couplings for air leaks priorto fan operation.3.) Install duct cuff to inlet and/or exhaust flange(s) and tighten cinch strap. Keep bendsand kinks in ducting to a minimum to maximize air flow.Note: The SVF series fans are supplied with two 10” to 8” adapters. They can be usedto attach 8” or 10” duct to the air discharge or inlet side of the blower. If the blower is tobe used in series, the intake adapter should be used. Multiple fans can be used in series toachieve ventilation with long lengths of ducting. Do not use more than 50ft. of duct on theinlet or discharge side of the fan as severe air flow loss will result. If the fan is used as asingle unit, greater discharge flow will be achieved by removing the intake duct adapter.4.) Connect fan to power source.Note: The standard electric model, SVF-10E, is equipped with a standard 3 prong plugand can be plugged into a standard 120VAC/15amp/60Hz receptacle. If an extensioncord is to be used, the minimum recommended size is 14 AWG up to 25’. For longercords, refer to the National Electric Code tables, Article 400.5.) Push on/off switch located on the right side of the conduit box to the “on” position. Theunit is know operational.Note: DO NOT use this fan to pull paint vapors through the air intake as this willvoid all warranties.MAINTENANCE• Keep blower motor dry and free from contaminants and dust.• Check periodically to ensure moving parts are free from obstructions.
