GB1 Safety Instructions• Use of the massage device is prohibited in the following cases:- not on children,- not on animals,- never while you sleep,- not in the car,- not while ingesting substances that reduce reaction times (e.g. painkillermedications, alcohol).before using the unitBefore using the device for the first time, both transport locksmust be removed from the back of the backrest at the top andbottom (see illustration at the front of the Instruction Manual).1. Use the Allen-key supplied to turn the screws anti-clockwiseand remove. (1)2. Dispose of the screws properly. (2)On no account should the screws be refitted. Such actioncould damage the device. (2)• Always carefully inspect the cable, the control unit and the Shiatsu massageseat cover for damage before use. Do not attempt to use a defective unit.• Do not use the unit if there are visible signs of damage on the unit or thecable components, the unit does not work properly or the seat or the controlunit have been dropped or become damp. In order to prevent hazards, alwayssend the unit in to the service centre.• The zip fastener on the back of the massage device must not be opened. Itis only fitted for reasons relating to the manufacturing of the device.operating the unit• The Shiatsu massage seat cover must only be used for its intended purposeas described in the instruction manual.• Using the Shiatsu massage seat cover for any other purpose invalidates thewarranty.• Never leave the unit unattended if it is connected to the power supply.• The maximum operating time for one session is 15 minutes. Allow it to cooloff for at least 15 minutes before using it again.• Do not allow the Shiatsu massage seat cover to come into contact withpointed or sharp objects.• Never put the unit down next to an electric stove or other sources of heat.• Never use the Shiatsu massage seat cover if it is folded up or crumpled.• Never use the device under covers, such as blankets or pillows.• Operate the device in an upright position only, never place it flat on thefloor.• Make sure that all moving parts can move freely at all times.14
