The International Fairgrounds of Galicia opens its yearly
calendar of events with a show that represents like any other
one the challenge of the Green Week Foundation to promote
professional monographic shows that are held biennially,
which are the real trading platforms for offer and demand
while becoming innovation champions in their corresponding
commercial sectors.
Cimag, with the consensus and the essential support of the
sector, has been endorsing this type of fair organisation formula
since the year 2002, when it began to walk with a very clear
objective now kept in Cimag 2011, to become a perfect place
to do business, to bring together exhibitors, distributors and
customers and to present the latest technological advances.
This constitutes a reference place for the world of agricultural
forage machinery and the professionals of the agricultural
sector who recognise in the show a great place to meet their
needs, contributing also, to the modernisation of its activity and
to increase the productivity and profitability of their farms.
This fifth edition is a great achievement for us; given that in time of great hardship, to
which this sector is not immune, we have gathered again many of the best national
and international companies of agricultural machinery forming a complete showcase
joining more than 200 exhibitors from 26 countries that are exhibiting a wide range of
products and novelties.
In this scenario you can meet an attractive programme of technical activities
that reinforces the organisation commitment to innovation, with the celebration
of the Outstanding Machines Contest, while the monograph becomes a forum for
updating knowledge through the holding of seminars focused, among other issues,
in government subsidies and grants that are directed to the renewal of machinery,
sustainability in agriculture, and regulations on emission levels of tractors. Worthy
mentioning as well, the interest that demonstrations hold to visitors and the exhibition
showcase of classic agricultural machinery that will help us meet and assess progress
in the countryside mechanization.
Therefore, we have all the elements that reaffirm the position of Cimag as reference for
the forage industry in the Iberian Peninsula and an essential event for primary sector
workers in the northwest of Spain to visit. A fruitful outcome as result of an intensive
work where collaboration of the National Association of Agricultural Machinery,
Forestry and Green Spaces (ANSEMAT) has been important and to which I wish to
voice my gratitude. I also want to extend my gratitude to all those involved in this
project and that have made possible Cimag 2011 be a reality.
And last, I would like to welcome you and wish to exhibitors and visitors that all the
effort and enthusiasm put into the organization of this edition will help to meet all the
expectations for promotion and business that you have.
