ASOCIACIÓN ALE, I.A.P. was
founded in November 2004 by the Alverde Castro and
Castro Careaga families, after the death of little Ale, son
of Luis Eduardo Alverde and Adriana Castro, in the grief of
the loss they decided to donate their organs as an act of
love that gave a new chance of life to six people, this situation
coupled with the reality of organ donation in Mexico
has marked the 18 years of work of the association.
GOALS:
• To provide social assistance with transplant medicine
to people in economically vulnerable situations.
• o To promote and encourage the right to health in
Mexico, access to quality services and integral treatments
for all patients.
• To support and assist in the creation of material and
human infrastructure for adequate care.
• Promote a broad culture of organ and tissue donation.
• Influence Public Policies in health matters for the benefit
of patients.
SCOPES:
• 1, 395 transplants, of which 818 correspond to kidney
transplants.
• 14,714 free cataract surgeries.
• 1,235 immunosuppressant drug treatments.
• 37,890 people benefited through the Renal Prevention
Campaigns aimed at the general population.
• Since 2013, the Hemodialysis Program has granted 53
scholarships for hemodialysis sessions to patients on
their way to their transplant. The support is for approximately
6 months and aims to put the patient on the
road to transplantation, keeping him/her stable until
the time of surgery.
