surroundings, as well as with yourself.
The Parc de la Torre d'en Dolça
is a green space located next to Raval
de la Mar, the avenue that connects
Vila-seca with la Pineda. This
area serves as an important green
lung with significant social, sports,
and cultural value, designed with
sustainability criteria.
The park takes its name from the
defensive tower located in the middle
of a 37-hectare area, which currently
houses remains of a Roman
villa, ancient quarries, and agricultural
constructions such as irrigation
channels and dry stone walls,
among other points of interest. Several
artificial ponds and wetland
areas with macrophytes have also
been created, providing habitats for
a large number of migratory birds
and showcasing hundreds of trees
such as olive trees, carob trees, stone
pine trees, and eucalyptus.
Immerse yourself in nature, marshes,
and birdlife at Séquia Major, a
natural space protected by the Plan
for Natural Areas of Interest (PEIN)
of the Government of Catalonia since
1992. This coastal wetland area
of 17.3 hectares, located in Pineda
Platja, forms one of the most interesting
marshlands between the
Llobregat Delta and the Ebro Delta.
