Cuero superior: Louisiana caimán semimate
El cuero de caimán, uno de los tipos de cuero más valiosos, se ha revelado
también al mismo tiempo como uno de los más solicitados en el sector
relojero. Las pieles de caimán seleccionadas a mano que utiliza HIRSCH, con
su apreciada y conocida veta rectangular, proceden de animales de granja
del sur de los Estados Unidos, donde se crían bajo el riguroso control de las
autoridades estatales, contribuyendo así a la conservación de las especies
salvajes. Para esta variante mate se utilizó como punto de partida una piel de
caimán de Luisiana de primera calidad teñida por inmersión que, gracias a un
laborioso proceso manual de cepillado, conserva su sedosa y brillante textura.
Otro rasgo de su acabado artesanal de primera calidad es el elegante efecto
bitonal, la denominada variación de claroscuro entre las escamas y sus bordes,
que se consigue mediante el cepillado.
Cuero de forro: HIRSCH Oysterglove Supersoft
Como su propio nombre indica, el cuero de forro Oysterglove Supersoft es un
material especialmente blando y suave.
Este cuero debe su especial blandura y flexibilidad a la utilización de un
procedimiento especial, denominado «Millen», con el que se mulle y se da
flexibilidad a las fibras de cuero.
Este método se hace visible mediante una estructura tridimensional del
graneado que influye positivamente en el confort de uso en cuanto a blandura
y capacidad de adaptación y subraya la naturalidad del material.
Por este motivo, Oysterglove Supersoft es especialmente adecuado como
cuero de forro para modelos muy acolchados o brazaletes con cuero superior
más duro, ya que este material hace la correa más blanda y flexible.
Además, Oysterglove Supersoft se distingue por su larga vida útil así como
por una especial resistencia al agua (100m Water-Resistant). Por eso mismo
también es perfecto como cuero funcional de forro para brazaletes diseñados
para su uso en el agua.
Upper leather: Louisiana Alligator semi-mat
Alligator skin – one of the most precious types of leather – has become one
of the most sought after materials in the watch industry. The alligator skins
used by HIRSCH are hand-picked and display the popular and well-known
rectangular grain. They come from alligator farms in the south of the United
States of America, where the animals are bred under strict supervision of
official authorities to preserve the wild species.
For this mat variant, a high-quality, drum-dyed Louisiana alligator skin is used,
brushed by hand in a sophisticated process to create its silky shine. Another
sign of the high-quality craftsmanship is the elegant two-tone effect, the
contrast between dark and light shades of scales and the lower parts of the
scales that is achieved through brushing.
Lining leather: HIRSCH Oysterglove Supersoft
As suggested by its name, Oysterglove Supersoft lining leather is a particularly
supple and soft material.
The leather owes its suppleness and flexibility to “milling” as it is called, a
process employed to loosen the leather fibres and make them flexible.
The visual expression of this procedure is the 3D grain structure. The process
has a positive impact on wearing comfort, as it makes the material so supple
and adaptable, and underlines the material’s natural character.
Oysterglove Supersoft is especially suitable for more heavily padded models or
bracelets with harder upper leather, because it makes the bracelet as a whole
softer and more supple.
In addition, Oysterglove Supersoft is very durable and long-lived and stands
out with its water resistance (100 m water-resistant), i.e. the perfect lining
leather for functional bracelets developed to be used in water.
