William of Bourges (d. 1209) was canonized in 1218 (V). Judy Louise May Taylor, “Rhymed
Offices at the Sainte-Chapelle in the Thirteenth Century: Historical, Political, and Liturgical
Contexts” (Ph.D. diss., University of Texas at Austin, 1994), p. 188-89, notes that Brussels, Royal
Library, MS IV.472, a supplementary service book with liturgical material for feasts added to the
Sainte-Chapelle calendar in the mid 13 th century, includes a life of William of Bourges. BNF lat
1112 does not include St. William.
