C’était à New York aux USA, le vendredi 27
septembre 2013, que M. Gervais Koffi Djondo,
Président du Conseil d’Administration de
ASKY, la compagnie panafricaine a reçu le “Prix
carrière exemplaire” (Lifetime Achievement
Award). M. Djondo a été honoré à l’occasion
d’une soirée de reconnaissance des grands
leaders africains du monde des affaires,
organisée dans le cadre de la semaine de
l’Assemblée Générale de l’ONU.
Les Trophées African Business sont organisés
par le magazine African Business et IC Events.
Cette cérémonie annuelle a coïncidé avec
l’African Leadership Forum, qui a rassemblé
les dirigeants africains pour discuter des
questions de leadership et bonne gouvernance
sur le continent.
Rappelons que M. Gervais Koffi Djondo est
un des membres fondateurs de la puissante
banque panafricaine Ecobank.

during the Gala Evening in
Recognition of Great African
Business Leaders
It was in New York, in the United States, last
September 27th, 2013, that Mr. Gervais Koffi
Djondo, the chairman of the board of ASKY, the
Pan-African company, received the Lifetime
Achievement Award. Mr. Djondo was honoured
during a gala evening held in recognition of
great African business leaders, organised
within the context of the week of the General
Assembly of the United Nations.
The African Business Trophies are organized
by the magazine African Business and IC
Events. This annual ceremony coincides with
the African Leadership Forum, which brings
together African leaders to discuss questions
of leadership and good governance on the
continent.
Mr. Gervais Koffi Djondo is one of the founding
members of the powerful Pan-African bank,
Ecobank.

ASKY a participé à la 22ème Assemblée
Annuelle, Conférence et Exposition
de l’Airport Council International (ACI
Afrique) qui s’est tenue du 19 au 23
Octobre 2013 à Lomé au Togo.
Organisé en collaboration avec la
Société Aéroportuaire de Lomé Tokoin
(SALT), cet événement est la principale
Conférence annuelle de la région pour
l’industrie aéroportuaire, réunissant
des représentants provenant des quatre
coins du globe. Le forum offre une
occasion unique pour les cadres des
aéroports et de l’aviation, des experts
et des exposants en provenance des six
continents et de plus de 50 pays pour
réseauter et forger une vision commune
de l’avenir des activités des aéroports
africains.
Le thème de cette conférence cette
année était « Développement des
aéroports en Afrique, le temps d’agir».
Cette conférence internationale a
traité essentiellement des sujets
clés pour les aéroports de la région,
y compris : le développement des
ressources aéroportuaires et du trafic
aérien, les redevances aéroportuaires,
la maximisation du potentiel nonaéronautique,
les concessions des
aéroports, le marketing aéroportuaire, les
défis de la gestion des petits aéroports,
le plan de masse et la sauvegarde de
l’avenir des aéroports, les stratégies
de développement, le Partenariat
Public Privé et le financement des
investissements, etc. Cette rencontre
a servi également de plateau de haut
niveau pour échanger les expériences
entres les différents aéroports membres
et avec les partenaires de l’industrie.

représentée par son Directeur Général
M. Yissehak Zewoldi, a donné une
communication sur le thème « Les
compagnies aériennes de nouvelle
génération » devant plus d’une centaine
de participants. Cette communication
fort appréciée des conférenciers a
été le lieu de s’imprégner plus sur les
nouvelles compagnies dite de nouvelle
génération en général et de ASKY qui en
fait justement partie en particulier.

ASKY participated in the 22nd World
Annual Congress and Exhibition of the
International Airport Council (ACI in
Africa), which was held last October 19th
to 23rd, 2013, in Lomé in Togo.
Organised in collaboration with the
Société Portuaire of Lomé Tokoin
(SALT) this event is the main annual
conference in the region for the airport
terminal industry, bringing together
representatives from the four corners
of the world. The forum offers a unique
opportunity for airport and aviation
managers, experts and exhibitors coming
from six continents and more than
50 countries to network and to forge
a common vision of the future of the
activities of African airports.
The theme of this year’s conference
was “The Development of Airports in
Africa, Time to Act”. This international
conference essentially addressed key
subjects for airports in the region
including the development of airport
terminal resources and air traffic, airport
terminal license fees, maximising
the non airport terminal potential,
airport concessions, airport terminal
marketing, the challenges of managing
small airports, the plan for the mass
and the conservation for the future
of airports, development strategies,
the public/private sector partnership
and the financing of investments, etc.
This encounter also served as a high
level field for exchanging experiences
between the different member airports
and with industry partners.
ASKY, the Pan-African company,
represented by its managing director Mr.
Yissehak Zewoldi, gave a presentation
on the theme of “New Generation
Airline Companies” in front of over 100
participants. This presentation, widely
appreciated by the participants, was the
venue to find out more about the new
companies, called the new generation, in
general and about ASKY, which is in fact
is among them, in particular.
