RISK OF FLUID INJECTION AND LACERATIONWHAT CAN HAPPEN• Your pressure washer operates atfluid pressures and velocities highenough to penetrate human andanimal flesh, which could result inamputation or other serious injury.Leaks caused by loose fittings orworn or damaged hoses can resultin injection injuries. DO NOT TREATFLUID INJECTION AS A SIMPLECUT! See a physician immediately!• Injuries can result if system pressureis not reduced before attemptingmaintenance or disassembly.HOW TO PREVENT IT• Inspect the high-pressure hoseregularly. Replace the hoseimmediately if it is damaged, worn, has melted from contactingthe engine, or shows any signsof cracks, bubbles, pinholes, orother leakage. Never grasp a highpressurehose that is leaking ordamaged.• Never touch, grasp or attempt tocover a pinhole or similar waterleak on the high-pressure hose. The stream of water IS under highpressure and WILL penetrate skin.• Never place hands in front of noz zle.• Direct spray away from self andothers.• Make sure hose and fit tings aretightened and in good condition.Never hold onto the hose or fittingsduring op er a tion.• Do not allow hose to contact muf fler.• Never attach or remove wandor hose fittings while sys tem ispressurized.• To relieve sys tem pres sure, shut offengine, turn off water sup ply andpull gun trigger until water stopsflowing.• Use only hoses and accessoriesrated for pressure higher than yourpressure washer's PSI.WHAT CAN HAPPEN• High-velocity fluid spray can causeobjects to break, propelling particlesat high speed.• Light or unsecured objects canbecome hazardousprojectiles.RISK OF INJURY FROM SPRAYHOW TO PREVENT IT• Always wear ANSI-approved Z87.1safety glasses. Wear protectiveclothing to protect againstaccidental spraying.• Never point wand at or spray peopleor animals.• Always secure trigger lock whenwand is not in service to preventaccidental operation.• Never permanently secure trigger inpull-back (open) position.A166374- ENG
