STARTINGPrior to starting, refer to yourengine manual for proper startingprocedure.1. In a well ventilated outdoor areaadd fresh, high quality, unleadedgasoline with a pump octanerating of 86 or higher. Do notoverfill. Wipe up spilled fuel beforestarting the engine. Refer toEngine Owners <strong>Manual</strong> for correctprocedure.2. Check engine oil level. SeeEngine Owners <strong>Manual</strong> for correctprocedure. NOTE: There willbe a slight amount of oil in theengine from factory testing.3. Verify the filter Filter Screenscreen is inwater inlet ofpump. NOTE:Cone sidefaces out.4. Connect water source to pumpinlet. NOTE: Water source mustprovide a minimum of 5 gallons perminute at 20 PSI.5. Connect high pressure hose topump outlet.High <strong>Pressure</strong> HoseWater Source6. If applying a chemical orcleaning solution, see HowTo Apply Chemicals/CleaningSolvents instructions in thissection.7. Turn water source on.NOTE: Failure to do so couldcause damage to the pump.8. Start engine. See EngineOwners <strong>Manual</strong> for correctprocedure. NOTE: When enginerope is pulled, pressure startsbuilding in the gun. If the enginedoes not start after two pulls,pull the gun trigger to relieve thispressure.9. Depress trigger on gun tostart water flow. NOTE: Standon a stable surface and gripgun/spray wand firmly with bothhands. Expect the gun to kickwhen triggered.10. Release trigger to stop waterflow.11. Adjust spray for the task beingperformed by changing quickconnect nozzle. See How To UseSpray Wand instructions in thissection.SHUTTING DOWN1. After each use, if you haveapplied chemicals, place chemicalhose into container of clean waterand draw clean water throughchemical injection system to rinsesystem thoroughly. NOTE: Failureto do so could cause damage tothe pump.2. Turn engine off. See EngineOwner’s <strong>Manual</strong>. NOTE: NEVERturn the water off with the enginerunning.3. Turn water source off.4. Pull trigger on spray gun torelieve any water pressure inhose or spray gun.5. See Storage section in thismanual for proper storageprocedures.11- ENG A12495
