HAZARDRISK OF EXPLOSION OR FIRE (continued)WHAT CAN HAPPEN• Materials placed against or near thepressure washer can interfere with its properventilation features causing overheating andpossible ignition of the materials.• Muffler exhaust heat can damage paintedsurfaces, melt any material sensitive toheat (such as siding, plastic, rubber, orvinyl), and damage live plants.• Improperly stored fuel could lead toaccidental ignition. Fuel improperlysecured could get into the hands ofchildren or other unqualified persons.• Use of acids, toxic or corrosive chemicals,poisons, insecticides, or any kind offlammable solvent with this product couldresult in serious injury or death.HOW TO PREVENT IT• Never operate pressure washer in an areacontaining dry brush or weeds.• Always keep pressure washer a minimum offour feet away from surfaces (such as houses,automobiles, or live plants) that could bedamaged from muffler exhaust heat.• Store fuel in an OSHA approved container,in a secure location away from work area.• Do not spray flammable liquids.RISK TO BREATHINGHAZARDWHAT CAN HAPPEN• Breathing exhaust fumes will causeserious injury or death! Engine exhaustcontains carbon monoxide, an odorlessand deadly gas.• Some cleaning fluids contain substanceswhich could cause injury to skin, eyes, orlungs.HOW TO PREVENT IT• Operate pressure washer in a wellventilated area. Avoid enclosed areas suchas garages, basements, etc.• Never operate unit in a location occupiedby humans or animals.• Use only cleaning fluids specifically recommendedfor high pressure washers. Followmanufacturers recommendations. Do notuse chlorine bleach or any other corrosivecompound.HAZARDRISK TO FLUID INJECTIONWHAT CAN HAPPEN• Your washer operates at fluid pressuresand velocities high enough to penetratehuman and animal flesh, which couldresult in amputation or other serious injury.Leaks caused by loose fittings or wornor damaged hoses can result in injectioninjuries. See a physicianimmediately!• Injuries can result if system pressure is notreduced before attempting maintenance ordisassembly.HOW TO PREVENT IT• Never place hands in front of nozzle.• Direct spray away from self and others.• Make sure hose and fittings are tightenedand in good condition. Never hold onto thehose or fittings during operation.• Do not allow hose to contact muffler.• Never attach or remove wand or hosefittings while system is pressurized.• To relieve system pressure, shut offengine, turn off water supply, and pull guntrigger until water stops flowing.• Use only hoses and accessories ratedfor pressure higher than your pressurewasher's PSI.3- ENG A12495
