HAZARDRISK OF UNSAFE OPERATIONWHAT CAN HAPPEN• Unsafe operation of your pressure washercould lead to serious injury or death toyou or others.• If proper starting procedure is notfollowed, engine can kickback causingserious hand and arm injury.• The spray gun/wand is a powerful cleaningtool that could look like a toy to achild.• Reactive force of spray will cause gun/wand to kickback, and could cause the operatorto slip or fall, or misdirect the spray.Improper control of gun/wand can result ininjuries to self and others.HOW TO PREVENT IT• Do not use chlorine bleach or any othercorrosive compound.• Become familiar with the operation andcontrols of the pressure washer.• Keep operating area clear of all persons,pets, and obstacles.• Do not operate the product whenfatigued or under the influence of alcoholor drugs. Stay alert at all times.• Never defeat the safety features of thisproduct.• Do not operate machine with missing,broken, or unauthorized parts.• Never leave wand unattended while unitis running.• If engine does not start after two pulls,squeeze trigger of gun to relieve pumppressure. Pull starter cord slowly untilresistance is felt. Then pull cord rapidlyto avoid kickback and prevent hand orarm injury.• Keep children away from the pressurewasher at all times.• Do not overreach or stand on an unstablesupport.• Do not use pressure washer whilestanding on a ladder.• Grip gun/wand firmly with both hands.Expect the gun to kickback whentriggered.RISK OF INJURY FROM SPRAYWHAT CAN HAPPEN• High velocity fluid spray can causeobjects to break, propelling particles athigh speed.• Light or unsecured objects can becomehazardous projectiles.HAZARDHOW TO PREVENT IT• Always wear ANSI approved Z87 safetyglasses.Wear protective clothing to protectagainst accidental spraying.• Never point wand at, or spray people oranimals.• Always secure trigger lock when wandis not in service to prevent accidentaloperation.• Never permanently secure trigger in pullback (open) position.5- ENG A12495
