The shielding must beearthed at both ends (exception : if there are loop problems due to balancing currents which are causing overheating of the shielding, connect itat the signal input end only or install a balancing conductor in parallel).ENGLISH● The main function of the motor cable shielding is to limit the radiation of radio frequencies. Use a 4-pole cable designed for motors, connectingeach end of the shielding in accordance with HF practice. The type of protective material (copper or steel) is less important than the quality of theconnection at both ends. An alternative is to use metal trunking which has good conduction and no discontinuity. A good solution with large-diametercables is to use a protective core in a concentric position (for example, NYCY or NYCWY). The core acts as both PE protective core and screen :it is not as effective at filtering radiation, but is adequate for the majority of industrial environments.The inverter must be earthed via the PE terminal using a cable with a minimum cross-section of 10 mm 2 .The integral earth short-circuit detection system is not a current limiter device. It can protect only the equipment, not personnel.Warning :Never connect the heatsink to either machine earth or earth.38
