Operating the answer machine from the handset
Avena 248TE
If you have new messages on your answer machine New Message(s) and the symbol
appears. The messages are played back beginning with the most recent.
• Press Menu, select Answer Machine and press OK.
• Select Play Messages and press OK.
• Press the End call key to end playback.
Key Function

4 Repeat message/return to previous message
5 Delete message during playback
6 Skip to next message
Deactivate/activate loudspeaker
†/π Adjust volume
Delete all old messages
• Press Menu, select Answer Machine and press OK.
• Select Delete Msgs and press OK.
• Confirm by pressing the softkey under Yes.
Answer machine settings
• Press Menu, select Answer Machine and press OK.
• Select Answer Settings and press OK.
• Select the desired function by pressing the navigation keys †/π and press OK.
- Answer Mode - Answer&Record or Answer only mode
- Answer Delay - Select 2, 4, 6, 8 rings or Time saver mode
- Recording Time - Set the maximum length for incoming message
- Call Screening - see page 81.
- Activation - Select the desired frequency and the activation time.
- Remote Access - Switch remote access on or off
If you set the answer delay to Time Saver, your answer machine will answer
after 2 rings if you have new messages. If you do not have new messages it
will not answer until 6 rings. This enables you to save costs by hanging up
before you are connected.
