To use the recording or Timeshift function, the connected USB <strong>de</strong>vice must be<br />
available for recording. Device format is recommen<strong>de</strong>d to use USB <strong>HD</strong>D.<br />

During the Device formatting, do not disconnect the <strong>de</strong>vice while formatting is<br />
in progress. If you format the <strong>de</strong>vice, all files will be <strong>de</strong>leted.<br />

Accordingly, some USB <strong>HD</strong>D may fail a performance test. A USB hard disk<br />
drive that fails a performance test cannot be used with a PVR.<br />
