what would you write in it?
Dear Miri,
How are you? I hope you are better than now. Do you remember your classmates
Elena, Sheila, Tamara, take into account that they aren’t good friends because you are
always doing favours to them and they talk about you behind your back when you aren’t
with them. Be careful please!
Do you remember this boy that you like so much? Be careful with him because you aren’t
the only girl in his life, he is lying to girls and he only wants to kiss you but he doesn’t love
you. It’s better to start a relationship with Ruben because he is a good boy and he loves
you a lot! Take my advice!
By the way, you buy a lot of clothes and you know that mum is always complaining about
that because you don’t wear everything you buy. In the end, she has to throw them away
because nobody else can wear them because of the size! Please, think if you need it and
if it is worth it to spend money on it, otherwise mum will always be angry with you.
To conclude, take all the advices that your family gives you and try not to complain
so much in the daily routine with them because one day you will go to live with your
partner and your own family and you will probably miss the relationship with them. Don’t
complain about the good meals that mum prepares after school, the driving lessons with
dad or the hours you spend with your brother playing computer games, just enjoy this
time with them.
I won’t give you more advices because you are doing so well.
See you in the future and don’t eat high calorie foods because going to the gym is
expensive!

Dear man,
How are you doing? The first thing that you have to remember is to think better
what you want to study. You are at the critical point and soon you will have to find your
way. In a few years you will discover your real passion. It will be the guitar and it will
be great! Now you love music but there will be more, so keep on and don’t give up! You
will spend a lot of time practicing and you will have great moments. Don’t forget it! It is
important.
A nice advice; be always close to your family as they will be there for you. You will make
a lot of friends but you will lose contact with some of them. It’s a shame but life will bring
them back to your life someday. Don’t worry because you will make more.
Don’t worry about love, you will meet some interesting women through these years and
all of them will gift you with great experiences. And of course some bad too, but not so

What do you have in your brain? Why are going out every weekend? Why don’t
you try to have a healthier life and instead of going out every weekend why don’t you
train with your basketball team? If you do that, you won’t feel so tired and you will be
more focused in class. I recommend you other hobbies such as cycling or trekking with
friends. You will find a boyfriend too, I promise!
On the other hand, you have failed lots of subjects this school-year. What’s going on?
It seems like if you aren’t interested in anything, you only want a boyfriend and going
out with your friends. I know this is important too but please, don’t forget to do your
homework and your exams. What has happened with English? You’ve always enjoyed
your English lessons and this year you hate them. Don’t you remember that if you pass
your test your parents have promised to go to London this summer? You were amazed so

I hope you don’t get upset about this letter, you must understand that I know
things that you don’t. Everybody knows that you are an independent person, and as your
best friend, I need to tell you some things.
This boy has sex appeal, it’s true and he is also quite similar to you but life will bring you
the best man you could have ever met; An awesome Canary man who will love so much
to the point to make you become a mother. Yes, you will but that’s a different kettle of fish.

I’m writing to tell you some things that will help you. Please, trust me. Don’t worry,
you are not doing anything wrong but believe me, don’t be so responsible! Go out at
night and come home later than your parents allow you. Don’t be scared of them and
have fun more often with your friends. Oh! By the way, don’t tell mum that you will spend
a weekend with your male friends. She will find it out too late and she won’t be able to
forbid you to go there so continue with your initial plan.
About your firsts jobs, save money to travel. Don’t buy so many clothes, it’s better to have
travelling experiences, believe me. Collect moments, not things.
Don’t abandon your FCE exam! You will need it when you work as a teacher years later.
Yes, finally you will be a teacher and I’m sorry to tell you that politicians won’t change at
all and for a while they’ll demand this certificate. So go for it, please!!!
Please, be more a friend to your brother, you aren’t his mum and improve your
relationship with him.
On the other hand, don’t worry about boys, you will meet some idiots but you will find
The One. Be patient for a couple of years.

Dear me,
I know that now you are 16 and you see things in a catastrophic way, but
I have some advices for you.
Firstly, don’t leave high-school. I know it seems very boring and useless but
in 10 years you will probably want to study and even go to university! Also,
study English because in the future you are going to need it and you’ll like it,
I promise!
Secondly, don’t worry if you now feel wrong, you will be able to lead many
different situations with an incredible maturity and in most cases you will
make the right decision. So, if you don’t like yourself now is only because you
are knowing yourself and realising that you are a little bit different from other
people, but in a few years you’ll make friends who feel like you.
Finally, I would like to give you some tips about love but I know you and I am
sure you won’t listen to them. So that, love everybody you have to love and try
not to love them more than you love yourself. Impossible? Give it time... you’ll
learn how to do it.

Dear teenager,
I am writing to you to give you some advice about some things you can
change to have a happier life.
I know that sometimes when you go out you smoke. I recommend you not to
do it anymore because it will be easier to give it up now and if you don’t stop
you will smoke more and more everyday and this is dangerous for your health.
Also, I know that you are a sportive teenager. You go to the gym and you like
jogging in the park, which is very good for your health. Keep on doing these
things!
Another tip I have to give you is to study more English at high school because
in the future you will need it to work and you won’t feel so lost in your vocational
training course.
Another tip is not to choose Law when you pass your university entrance exam,
please choose Tourism because Law is really boring.
In order to help you more, I recommend you not to leave the hotel where you
will work as a receptionist and never change it to become a salesperson!
I think that you shouldn’t waste so much money on clothes and shoes that you
never wear. Save money to travel and spend more time with your family and
less with your friends!

Are you one of those people who think that
love is a lie or unimportant? According to
recent research, love is what makes us feel
alive and gives us the opportunity of becoming
better people. However, if you take
an in-depth look, you will realize that most
of people's problems are due to lovesickness.
In any case, taking care of our loved
ones is essential if we want to feel loved in
return.
The lack of communication or a bad communication
is usually the main cause of
problems in relationships. It makes us misunderstand
what others say, which can lead
to rows. Insincerity is also a problem in relationships;
we tend to keep for us what we
really want or what is bothering us.
Another point to consider is how differently
women and men deal with rocky relationships.
Whilst men usually go for a drink
or shut themselves in their “cave”, women
usually call their friends and have long
conversations to let their feelings out.
In short, in order to have a happy and
healthy relationship, we should improve
our language skills and be more sincere
and tolerant. This way we will be able to
say things assertively, our loved ones will
know how we feel and we will be more
open to respect our significant ones.
If you ask me, love relationships are tricky
but if we put all our heart and soul into
them, they can definitely work.

The computer has
greatly improved
our lives today
It is generally agreed that the computer
revolution has changed our lives. We are
living in the information Age and most of
us depend on modern technology to work.
On the one hand, computers are making
things convenient by providing us with
a big variety of information which is constantly
updating. Also, it is a good way to
communicate the news or get in touch with
friends and family from everywhere. Another
advantage is that computers work at
the touch of a button and people of all ages
get used to operating them easily.
On the other hand, more and more people
spend hours glued to the computer instead
of having a face to face relationship, for
that reason, we are losing our social skills.
Besides this, modern technology rapidly
becomes obsolete; there is always a new
model with better characteristics. Moreover,
it remains to be seen what the longterm
impact of these advances will be.
Surely, the problems caused by computers
are too high a price to pay.
To sum up, depending on how we use it,
modern technology can be more useful
than harmful. In other words, computers
make our lives simpler, as long as we don´t
spend too much time in front of a screen.

AGRIGENTO
Ad Agrigento possiamo vedere molte
cose.
Tu puoi andare a vedere la Valle dei
Templi, il Tempio di Giunone, il Museo
Archeologico Regionale inaugurato nel
1967, anche puoi andare alla Chiesa di
Santa Maria dei Greci nel centro storico
della città. Ad Agrigento c'è il giardino
della kolymbreta, è molto antico ed enorme,
un posto molto bello!

FORMENTERA
Sono Lina Tur, vi presento la mia isola, la
più bella del mondo:
L’isola di dove sono io è Formentera. Si
trova nell’arcipelago delle isole Baleari.
È la piÙ piccola di tutto l'arcipelago, e per
me, è anche la più bella.
Per arrivare a Formentera si prende un
traghetto che impiega solo trenta minuti.
In estate il mare è sempre calmo, in inverno,
non sempre è cosi, ma il mare è
bello lo stesso.
Io vi consiglio non solo di andare in
spiaggia a prendere il sole, ma anche di
vedere l'isola come una forma nuova di
rilassarsi, connettersi con le persone e
con la natura.
Il paesaggio è impressionante, ogni
giorni è differente. Si può visitare il
parco di Can Marroig, dove si può fare
sport, ed andare a vedere la torre di
difesa della Gavina. La Mola è un luogo
abbastanza interessante da visitare a
piedi. Anche Es Cap è una zona interessante
per fare trekking.
