AW - What is your background in business aviation?
AR - That phase of my career started in 2008, when
I became Deputy Ground Operations Post Holder for
an Italian business airline. Three years later, I moved
to Geneva to work for Global Jet Concept. I served as
intermediary between the owners of the planes and
the airline in terms of Client Flight Support. In 2013, I
went to TAG Aviation, where I worked in sales, in the
charter department, then as Area Sales Manager. I was
the first woman to hold this post. I met with success
and worked with a fantastic team. For family reasons,
I returned to Italy, to Naples to be more precise, until
October 2022, when I left for St Barth.
AW - What brought you to St Barth Executive?
AR - My brother already lived in the Caribbean, in
the British Virgin Islands. He really motivated me, as
seen from a distance I wasn’t quite sure. I contacted
St Barth Executive anyway, where one of my former
co-workers from Global Jet Concept was working.
One day, our president Vincent Beauvarlet contacted
me and invited me to visit the island. I thank him
for believing in me and my professionalism. When I
arrived, he was bringing a new plane from the United
States. St Barth is magnificent and I immediately
wanted to live there, and moved in October 2022,
right before the high season. Today I am the Sales
Director and supervise a team of three women: two
in Saint Martin and one in Pointe-à-Pitre. I’m lucky to
have a very efficient team.
AW - What kind of challenges have you faced?
AR - When I started to work at St Barth Executive,
it was not just to live a great life in the Caribbean.
AW - Quel est votre parcours dans l’aviation d’affaires ?
AR - Cela a commencé en 2008, quand je suis devenue
adjointe aux opérations au sol d’une compagnie italienne
d’aviation d’affaires. Trois ans après, je suis partie à Genève
pour travailler à Global Jet Concept. J’y étais l‘intermédiaire
entre les propriétaires des avions et la compagnie, au service
d’Assistance client au vol. En 2013, j’ai intégré TAG Aviation.
J’y ai travaillé à la vente, dans le département Charter, puis
en tant que Responsable commerciale de zone. J’ai été la
première femme à ce poste. J’ai eu de très bons résultats
avec une équipe magnifique. Pour des raisons familiales,
je suis rentrée en Italie, à Naples plus précisément, jusqu’à
octobre 2022, mois de mon départ pour St Barth.
AW - Qu’est-ce qui vous a mené à St Barth Executive ?
AR - Mon frère avait déjà vécu dans la Caraïbe, dans
les British Virgin islands. Il m’a beaucoup motivée. Vu la
distance, je n’y croyais pas beaucoup. J’ai quand même
contacté St Barth Executive où l’un de mes anciens
collègues de Global Jet Concept travaillait. Un jour, notre
Président Vincent Beauvarlet m’a contactée et m’a invitée
à visiter l’île. Je le remercie d’avoir cru en moi et en mon
professionnalisme. Quand je suis arrivée il revenait des
Etats-Unis, en convoyage avec un nouvel avion. St Barth est
magnifique et j’ai aussitôt voulu y vivre. En octobre 2022, je
m’y suis installée, juste avant la haute saison. Aujourd’hui je
suis Directrice des ventes. Je gère une équipe de trois filles ;
deux à St Martin et une à Pointe-à-Pitre. J’ai la chance
d’avoir une équipe très efficace.
AW - A quels challenges faites-vous face ?
AR - Quand je me suis engagée pour travailler chez St Barth
Executive, ce n’était pas seulement pour mener une jolie vie
dans la caraïbe. Les journées sont longues et commencent
