Regency at current market prices increased<br />
from 1.287,49 million rupiahs in 2007 to<br />
1.392,38 million rupiahs in 2008. Base on<br />
2000 constant market prices, total value of<br />
Gross Domestic Regional Product (GRDP)<br />
of <strong>Samosir</strong> Regency also increased from<br />
908,46 million rupiahs to 953,85 million<br />
rupiahs in 2008.<br />
Agriculture sector was the major<br />
contributor to GRDP of <strong>Samosir</strong> Regency at<br />
61,30 percent contribution, followed by<br />
services sector at 23,53 percent, and trade,<br />
hotel and restaurant sector at 9,92 percent,<br />
where others sectors only contribute below 3<br />
percent, each. Mining and quarrying sector<br />
at 0,06 percent contribution was the smallest<br />
contributor to GRDP of <strong>Samosir</strong> Regency.<br />
In 2008 the contribution shift can be<br />
found at any sector. The decreased<br />
contribution sectors were agriculture, trade,<br />
hotel and restaurant, where the increased<br />
contribution sectors were manufacturing<br />
industry, construction, transportation and<br />
communication, finance, and services.<br />
Meanwhile, mining and quarrying and<br />
electricity, gas, and water sectors were not<br />
shift with<br />
GRDP growth rate of <strong>Samosir</strong> Regency<br />
at current market prices was increased from<br />
7,61 percent in 200t to 8,15 percent in 2008.<br />
The positive increased growth rate also<br />
occurred in all sectors variously.<br />
Meanwhile, GRDP growth rate of<br />
<strong>Samosir</strong> Regency at 2000 constant market<br />

prices, known as economy growth<br />
measurement, was also increased from 4,59<br />
percent to 5,00 percent in 2008.<br />
Base on GRDP at 2000 constant market<br />
prices, all sectors have the positive growth<br />
rate, even any sector have the growth rate<br />
over the economy growth rate of <strong>Samosir</strong><br />
Regency, they were construction sector at<br />
9,78 percent, electricity, gas, and water<br />
sector at 6,86 percent, agriculture sector at<br />
5,16 percent, and trade, hotel and restaurant<br />
sector at 5,08 percent. The smallest growth<br />
rate was in manufacturing industry sector at<br />
2,12 percent.<br />
Per capita income of <strong>Samosir</strong> Regency<br />
increased from year to year until 10,58<br />
miliion rupiahs in 2008 at 7,87 percent<br />
growth rate.<br />

where inflation factors have been ommited,<br />
can be obtained from per capita GRDP at<br />
2000 constan market prices.<br />

Base on National Socio Economy<br />
Survey (Susenas) 2008 it was known that<br />
average of per capita monthly expenditure of<br />
people of <strong>Samosir</strong> Regency in year of 2008<br />
experienced the increasing equal to 77,05<br />
percent that was from Rp. 219.629,-<br />
/capita/month in year of 2007 became Rp.<br />
388.864,- /capita/month in year of 2008.<br />
Such average of per capita monthly<br />
expenditure was spent Rp. 259.312,- (66,68<br />
percent) for food consumption and Rp.<br />
129.552,- (33,32 percent) for non food<br />
consumption, while in year of 2007 Rp.<br />
148.180,- (67,47 percent) for food<br />
consumption and Rp. 71.448,- (32,53<br />
