“La nostra mission è quella di far conoscere
qualcosa di unico ampliando
la rete di punti vendita e rendendo
sempre più accattivante un
prodotto che è destinato a chi vuole
assaporare un gusto unico di forme
e sostanza, un po’ come le barche
di Bruno Abbate se vogliamo”, conosce
bene i suoi obiettivi Günther
Geier, anima e cuore della GM Motorsport,
la cui sede è a Roma in via
Anselmo Ciappi. Con il brand Carls-
son che rappresenta il vero “soft tuning”
per le vetture Mercedes, GM
(che ne è l’importatore ufficiale per
l’Italia) partecipa al Primatist Trophy
con la voglia di far conoscere ulteriormente
un prodotto che vuole essere
una personalizzazione elegante
ed originale per allontanarsi da
quello che è il tuning dall’impatto
visivo troppo forte che comunque
conserva una sua nicchia di mercato.
Le modifiche Carlsson trovano
Il piacere di Carlsson
la loro naturale espressione su vetture
come la Mercedes ML o la CL
65. “Vogliamo far sapere che non
c’è bisogno di andare in Germania
per poter personalizzare la propria
Mercedes con i prodotti Carlsson.
In Italia – continua Günther Geier
– c’è tanta cultura automobilistica
quanto in Germania, ma la differenza
sta nella percezione emotiva
che abbraccia la sfera delle omologazioni
e della difficoltà burocra-
tica in genere. Mentre in Germania
montare dei cerchi personalizzati
viene visto come un plus, in Italia lo
si considera qualcosa di non proprio
corretto, una fonte di problemi, ma
così non è… L’approccio sta comunque
cambiando, così quotidianamente
comprendiamo quanto
un soft tuning o una personalizzazione
elegante possa essere gradita e
vissuta senza problemi. Come GM
comunque cerchiamo di soddisfare
un mercato abbastanza vario che
comprende anche elaborazioni de-
Carlsson’s pleasure
stinate ad altre vetture non Mercedes
e con un loro mercato”.
“Our mission is to put something unique
into the picture and, to do this,
it is necessary to widen the network
of sale points and to render more attractive
a product destined to those
wishing to savour a unique taste in
form and substance, something like
Bruno Abbate’s boat if we wish….”.
Günther Geier the heart and soul of
GM Motorsport situated in Via Anselmo
Ciappi, Rome, knows full well the
goals to be reached. With the brand
name Carlsson which represents
the real “soft tuning” for the Mercedes
name, GM (who is the official
importer for Italy) participates in the
Primatist Trophy with the ulterior desire
to promote a product which aspires
to an elegant and original personalisation
thereby distancing itself
from the too strong visual impact tuning
which, however, still preserves a
small corner of the market. Carlsson
modifications find their natural ex-
pression in names such as Mercedes
ML or the CL65. “Our desire is make
it clear that there is no need to go to
Germany to personalise one’s own
Mercedes with Carlsson products.
In Italy – continues Günther Geier –
there is an automobile culture just
as there is in Germany, but the difference
lies in the emotive perception
which embraces the homologation
sphere and the bureaucratic difficulties
in general. Whilst in Germany
mounting personalised rings is seen
as a plus, in Italy it is considered as
incorrect, but it is not so. However,
things are changing, daily we see
how soft tuning or an elegant personalisation
can be appreciated
and experienced without problems.
Just like GM we are trying to satisfy
a market which is substantially
varied and which includes elaborations
destined to other non Mercedes
names and on their market”.
