The promotion <strong>of</strong> young people is a key part <strong>of</strong> the<br />
HypoVereinsbank’ s corporate philosophy. An<br />

jury. For the best among them, this will pave the<br />

<strong>of</strong> 20,000 euros. True to the observation that<br />

CompetIZIone Dell ’ <strong>opera</strong> 2010<br />
Der Competizione dell´Opera hat sich in den letzten 13 Jahren<br />
als einer der weltweit größten Gesangswettbewerbe etabliert<br />
und widmet sich als einziger dem reichen Repertoire<br />
der italienischen Oper, von den filigranen Klängen der<br />
Alten Musik über Mozart, Verdi und Puccini bis hinein in die<br />
stilistische Vielfältigkeit des 20. Jahrhunderts. 1996 wurde<br />
der Wettbewerb in Hamburg von Pr<strong>of</strong>. Dr. Hermann Rauhe,<br />
dem damaligen Präsidenten der dortigen Hochschule für<br />
Musik und Theater, unter der Leitung des heutigen Generalintendanten<br />
des Theater Bremen, Hans-Joachim Frey, in<br />
Zusammenarbeit mit dem Konzern Unilever Deutschland<br />
als „I Cestelli“ Competizione dell´Opera ins Leben gerufen.<br />
Seit 2001 hat der Wettbewerb sich in Dresden etabliert<br />
können und strahlt als international bedeutendes Kulturereignis<br />
weit über die Elbestadt hinaus in die ganze Welt.<br />
Im Jahr 2010 findet der Wettbewerb zum 10. Mal statt. Seit<br />
1996 haben knapp 100 Finalisten von diesem Wettbewerb<br />
aus die Opernbühnen der Welt erobert. In einer beispielgebenden<br />
Private-Public-Partnership haben Firmen und<br />
viele private Mäzene über 2,7 Millionen Euro aufgebracht,<br />
um dieses Young-Artist Program kontinuierlich zu unterstützen.<br />
Wie weit der Weg für viele Teilnehmer über Bremen nach<br />
Dresden wird, lässt sich mit einem Blick auf die Vorrunden<br />
ermessen. Ab März ist die Wettbewerbsleitung in ganz Europa,<br />
Russland, den USA, in Asien und wiederum in Lateinamerika<br />
unterwegs. Auf der Suche nach herausragenden<br />
Nachwuchstalenten werden die Vorrunden von hochrangigen<br />
Delegationen wichtiger Kultur- und Wirtschaftsvertreter<br />
begleitet, um das Netzwerk zur Förderung gerade dieser<br />
Talente weiter auszubauen. Moskau, St. Petersburg und<br />
Mexiko D.F., Buenos Aires, Santiago de Chile und Shanghai,<br />
werden hierbei genauso Stationen wie die Opernmetropolen<br />
New York, Zürich oder Wien sein.<br />
Zehn Finalisten werden am 5. September 2010 auf einer<br />
der schönsten Opernbühnen der Welt stehen im Focus einer<br />
prominent besetzten Jury aus Opernintendanten, Festivalleitern,<br />
Agentur- und Medienvertretern sowie berühmten<br />
Sängern. Diese in ihrer Größe und internationalen Zusammensetzung<br />
einzigartige Jury eröffnet allen jungen Talenten<br />
den Zugang zu einem Netzwerk, das ihnen alle Chancen<br />
für den Sprung in eine internationale Karriere bietet.<br />
Diese Jury, attraktive Sonderpreise und das Finalkonzert<br />
in der Semperoper geben dem Wettbewerb eine einmalige<br />
Farbe in der internationalen Wettbewerbslandschaft.<br />
Unter der Schirmherrschaft der Sächsischen Staatsmini-<br />
sterin für Wissenschaft und Kunst, Pr<strong>of</strong>. Dr. Dr. Sabine<br />
Irene Freifrau von Schorlemer, kooperiert der Competizione<br />
dell´Opera mit der Sächsischen Staatsoper Dresden Semperoper,<br />
der Hochschule für Musik „Carl Maria von Weber“<br />
Dresden, der Hochschule für Künste Bremen, dem Mitteldeutschen<br />
Rundfunk sowie dem Theater Bremen und dem<br />
Internationalen Kulturforum Theater Bremen e.V.<br />
2010 wird der Wettbewerb vom Competizione dell´Opera e.V.<br />
unter dem Dach des FORUM TIBERIUS – Internationales<br />
Forum für Kultur und Wirtschaft – Dresden gemeinsam mit<br />
dem Theater Bremen und dem Internationalen Kulturforum<br />
Theater Bremen ausgerichtet. Somit wird der Gedanke der<br />
Talentförderung weiterentwickelt und eine Kulturbrücke<br />
zwischen Dresden und Bremen über ganz Deutschland<br />

Der Wettbewerb ist für SängerInnen aller Nationen ausgeschrieben, die an einer Musikhochschule, einem Konservatorium<br />
oder an vergleichbaren Institutionen studieren, studiert haben oder kurzzeitig immatrikuliert waren.<br />
Privatstudierende müssen zur Wettbewerbsteilnahme vergleichbare qualifikationen und Nachweise erbringen.<br />
Nach Prüfung dieser Unterlagen genehmigt die Wettbewerbsleitung eine Wettbewerbsteilnahme.<br />
Preisträger des I Cestelli „Competizione dell' Opera“ 1996 oder 1998 sowie des „Competizione dell' Opera“ 2001, 2002,<br />
2004, 2006, 2007, 2008 und 2009 dürfen nicht mehr am Wettbewerb teilnehmen.<br />

Der Wettbewerb ist in Vorrunden, Semifinale und Finale aufgeteilt. Das Finale findet in Form eines öffentlichen Konzertes<br />
mit Orchesterbegleitung statt. Jeder Sänger ist verpflichtet an einer Vorrunde teilzunehmen. Diese werden an folgenden<br />

Sollte ein Teilnehmer begründet an einer der Vorrunden nicht teilnehmen können, kann die Wettbewerbsleitung einen<br />
zusätzlichen Vorrundentermin im Vorfeld des Semifinales in Dresden ermöglichen.<br />
Das Semifinale beginnt am 25. August 2010 mit der Registrierung der Teilnehmer in der Hochschule für Musik „Carl Maria<br />
von Weber“ in Dresden. Die 1. Runde des Vorsingens wird am gleichen Ort vom 26. bis 27. August ausgetragen. Nach dem<br />
Transfer am 28. August wird das Semifinale am 29. August 2010 im Theater Bremen mit der 2. Runde fortgesetzt.<br />
Die zehn Finalisten sind verpflichtet am Finalistenkonzert am 3. September 2010 im Theater Bremen sowie an den Preisträgerkonzerten<br />
am 8. September 2010 im Theater Bremen und am 12. September 2010 im Kulturzentrum „Parksäle“<br />
Dippoldiswalde teilzunehmen.<br />

Die Wettbewerbsleitung ist berechtigt die Anmeldung ohne Angabe von Gründen abzulehnen. In Ausnahmefällen kann die<br />
Anmeldung auch am Tag der jeweiligen Vorrunden entgegengenommen werden. Noch fehlende Unterlagen im Zusammenhang<br />
mit einer Anmeldung per E-Mail müssen spätestens hier nachgereicht werden.<br />
Die Teilnahmegebühr am Wettbewerb Competizione dell‘ Opera 2010 ist gestaffelt in EUR 50 für die Vorrunden und weitere<br />
EUR 50 für die Teilnahme am Wettbewerb ab der 1. Runde des Semifinales.<br />
Am Tag der jeweiligen Vorrunden sind EUR 50 (ggf. in Landeswährung) in bar im Organisationsbüro zu entrichten.<br />
Die Teilnehmer, die sich für das Semifinale qualifizieren, entrichten den 2. Teilbetrag in Höhe von EUR 50 vor Beginn des<br />
Semifinales im Organisationsbüro.<br />
Bei nachträglicher Verhinderung eines Teilnehmenden kann die Teilnahmegebühr weder ganz noch teilweise rückerstattet<br />
werden.<br />
In Dresden und Bremen werden die Teilnehmer des Semifinales in Gastfamilien untergebracht. In Dresden besteht diese<br />
Möglichkeit auch für die Teilnehmer der Vorrunde. Die schriftliche Anmeldung ist verbindlich. Bei Verhinderung wird um<br />
rechtzeitige Absage gebeten.<br />

Für den Wettbewerb hat jeder Teilnehmende sechs Arien in italienischer Sprache und Originaltonart auswendig vorzubereiten.<br />
Diese Arien müssen sich wie folgt zusammensetzen:<br />
1. vier Pflichtarien aus der Arienliste<br />
2. zwei Arien freier Wahl aus dem gesamten italienischen Opernrepertoire<br />
Jede Arie muss einer anderen Oper entnommen sein. Sollten die frei wählbaren Arien nicht in der Arienliste aufgeführt sein,<br />
haben die Teilnehmenden eine Kopie der jeweiligen Arie der Anmeldung beizufügen. Die angegebenen Arien sind mit der<br />
Anmeldung verbindlich. Repetitoren stehen zur Verfügung. Auf eigene Kosten kann ein persönlicher Repetitor zum jeweiligen<br />
Wettbewerb mitgebracht werden. Dies ist auf dem Anmeldeformular zu vermerken.<br />
Die mit der Anmeldung verbundene Unterschrift bestätigt die Kenntnisnahme der Teilnahmebedingungen sowie das Einverständnis<br />
mit folgenden, zusätzlichen Bedingungen:<br />
1. Die ausgewählten Teilnehmer verpflichten sich, an der jeweils nächsten Runde teilzunehmen.<br />
Bei begründeter Verhinderung ist rechtzeitig abzusagen.<br />
2. Alle Teilnehmer des Wettbewerbs verpflichten sich an sämtlichen Proben und Konzerten,<br />
die in Verbindung mit dem Wettbewerb stehen, teilzunehmen.<br />
3. Nichtteilnahme an den Proben und Konzerten bedeutet Verzicht auf den Preis.<br />
Auf Wunsch werden Teilnahme-Zertifikate ausgestellt.<br />
Die Jury behält sich das Recht vor, Preise nicht zuzuerkennen oder sie zu teilen. Diese Entscheidung ist unanfechtbar und<br />
verbindlich. Es wird keine Garantie dafür übernommen, dass alle Durchgänge vor der gesamten Jury abgehalten werden.<br />
Zudem behält sich die Jury vor, von den Arien nur Ausschnitte anzuhören. Dies gilt für die Vorrunden und für das Semifinale.<br />
Der Competizione dell‘ Opera e.V. hat das Recht, während des gesamten Ablaufs der Vorrunden, der Proben, des Semifinales<br />
und des Finales Aufnahmen und Mitschnitte sowie Bildmaterial zu erstellen, zu vervielfältigen, zu verbreiten, zu<br />
bearbeiten und/oder umzugestalten. Die eingeräumten Rechte erstrecken sich auf die Nutzung für Fernsehen, Rundfunk,<br />
Printmedien und sonstige elektronische, digitale und audiovisuelle Medien und Online-Dienste sowie zu Werbezwecken.<br />
Diese Rechte können von dem Competizione dell’ Opera e.V. auch an Fernseh- und Rundfunkanstalten abgetreten werden.<br />
Der gesamte Wettbewerb wird für Archivzwecke mitgeschnitten. Den Teilnehmenden wird kein Honorar gezahlt.<br />
Die Preisträger des Wettbewerbs verpflichten sich, zwei Jahre lang bei jedem Auftritt und Engagement anzugeben, dass sie<br />
Preisträger des Competizione dell‘ Opera 2010 sind.<br />
Bei Zweifeln der Textauslegung ist allein die deutsche Fassung maßgeblich.<br />
Der Rechtsweg ist ausgeschlossen.<br />

daher die in dieser Debatte provokante Leitfrage des FORUM<br />
TIBERIUS. Eine quadriga aus Kultur, Wirtschaft, Politik und<br />
Wissenschaft gibt Antworten darauf.<br />
In einem Mix aus hochkarätigen Vortragsveranstaltungen,<br />
Konzerten, Kultur- und Wirtschaftsreisen und aktiver<br />
Künstlerförderung, nicht nur durch Wettbewerbe, positioniert<br />
sich das FORUM TIBERIUS als einzigartige Institution<br />

VERANSTALTUNGEN<br />
Unsere Veranstaltungen verbinden Inhalte und Kommunikation.<br />
Hochkarätige Referenten aus Wirtschaft, Politik,<br />
Wissenschaft und Kultur gewähren den Mitgliedern und<br />
ausgewählten Gästen im einzigartigen Ambiente der „Kajo<br />
Schommer Lounge“ direkt an der Frauenkirche Einblicke<br />
in aktuelle Themenfelder von gesellschaftlicher Relevanz.<br />
Diese Vorträge werden jährlich in Buchform dokumentiert,<br />
um den Dialog auch in die öffentlichkeit zu tragen.<br />
Wichtig ist die Kommunikation der Mitglieder untereinander.<br />
Daher schafft das FORUM TIBERIUS – von musikalischen<br />
Darbietungen auf höchstem Niveau unterstützt – stets eine<br />

INTERNATIONALE WETTBEWERBE<br />
Zukunftsorientiert gehört die Nachwuchsförderung zur Philosophie<br />
des FORUM TIBERIUS. Es betreibt daher eines der<br />
weltweit größten privat finanzierten Young Artist Programme.<br />
Auch hier gilt das Prinzip einer gemeinsamen Plattform<br />
für die globale Förderung der besten jungen Künstler<br />
und einem internationalen Netzwerk aus öffentlichkeit und<br />
Fachkompetenz zur Förderung ihrer Karrieren.<br />
International anerkannte Wettbewerbe stehen dabei im<br />
Zentrum. So auch der Internationale Gesangswettbewerb<br />
der Italienischen Oper „Competizione dell´Opera“.<br />
Er gilt mittlerweile weit über Europa hinaus als einer der<br />
renommiertesten klassischen Gesangswettbewerbe überhaupt.<br />
Auch der Internationale Klavierwettbewerb „Anton<br />
G. Rubinstein“, der alle zwei Jahre junge Klaviervirtuosen<br />
aus aller Welt nach Dresden zieht, ist sinnlich erfahrbarer<br />
Ausdruck der Philosophie des FORUM TIBERIUS.<br />
In Ideen wie diesen verbinden sich nicht nur Kunst und<br />
Kultur auf höchstem Niveau in einem einzigartigen Wirkungsrahmen,<br />
sondern hier werden die Schnittstellen<br />
eines Netzwerks aus Kunst, Kultur, Wissenschaft, Politik<br />
und Wirtschaft für die öffentlichkeit zum erlebbaren<br />
Ereignis.<br />

The FORUM TIBERIUS was founded in 2003 as the International Forum for Culture<br />
and Business in order to begin a dialogue between culture and business.<br />
An active network consisting <strong>of</strong> persons engaged in the cultural sector and<br />
representatives from business and politics should give important impulses to<br />
support innovative artist advancement and create modern synergetic effects<br />
between culture and business. „What can culture do for business?“ is the provocative<br />
leading question in the debate <strong>of</strong> the FORUM TIBERIUS. A quadriga <strong>of</strong><br />
culture, business, politics and science is giving answers.<br />
By utilizing top-class lecture events, concerts, and creating opportunities for<br />
the advancement <strong>of</strong> artists the FORUM TIBERIUS positions itself as a unique<br />
institution in Germany.<br />
EVENTS<br />
Our events seek to connect the business <strong>of</strong> today with the culture <strong>of</strong> our time.<br />
Top class speakers from business, politics, science and culture allow members<br />
an insight to actual topics with social relevance. These speeches are annually<br />
documented in a book to bring the dialogue to the public.<br />
It is important for us to have a good communication between both the business<br />
and the cultural communities. Therefore, the FORUM TIBERIUS creates a<br />
unique atmosphere <strong>of</strong> speakers punctuated by musical performances in the<br />
extraordinary ambiance <strong>of</strong> the “Kajo Schommer Lounge” directly at the Frauenkirche.<br />
The dynamic <strong>of</strong> the projects, collaborations and events has exceeded<br />
the frontiers <strong>of</strong> Saxony and Germany.<br />
INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS<br />
Advancement <strong>of</strong> young artists is future-oriented and one significant part <strong>of</strong> the<br />
philosophy <strong>of</strong> the FORUM TIBERIUS. The Forum runs one <strong>of</strong> the world’s biggest<br />
privately financed young artist programs. The principle <strong>of</strong> collective platforms<br />
is used for a global advancement <strong>of</strong> the best young artists. In that way the<br />
FORUM TIBERIUS provides an international stage for these young artists so<br />
that they may have the opportunity to advance their careers.<br />
The “Competizione dell’Opera” garnished a reputation as one <strong>of</strong> the most<br />
famous competitions <strong>of</strong> classical belcanto. In addition to the singing contest<br />
the Forum initiated the International Piano Competition “Anton G. Rubinstein”<br />
in 2003 which draws every second year young piano virtuosos from all over the<br />
world to Dresden.<br />
The culture comes back where it took its beginning: in the society and in the<br />
care <strong>of</strong> the mind and senses.

In the last thirteen years the Competizione dell’Opera has<br />
established itself to one <strong>of</strong> the largest singing competitions<br />
worldwide. It is the only competition that uses the<br />
great repertoire <strong>of</strong> the Italian <strong>opera</strong>, beginning with the<br />
delicate tones <strong>of</strong> Ancient Music to Mozart, Verdi and Puccini<br />
and even reaching into the stylistic diversity <strong>of</strong> the 20th<br />
century.<br />
In 1996 the competition in Hamburg was originated as<br />
“I Cestelli” Competizione dell’ Opera by Pr<strong>of</strong>. Dr. Hermann<br />
Rauhe, the former president <strong>of</strong> the University for Music and<br />
Theatre, under the direction <strong>of</strong> today’s general manager <strong>of</strong><br />
the Theater Bremen, Hans-Joachim Frey, in collaboration<br />
with the corporate group Unilever Germany. Since 2001 the<br />
competition has established itself in Dresden and radiates<br />
its cultural importance far beyond the boundaries <strong>of</strong> the<br />
city on the River Elbe into the whole world.<br />
In 2010 the competition will take place for the 10th time.<br />
Since 1996 nearly 100 finalists from this competition conquered<br />
<strong>opera</strong> stages around the world. In an exemplary<br />
public-private partnership, companies and many private<br />
patrons have raised more than 2.7 million Euros to support<br />
this Young Artist Program continuously.<br />
While regarding the venues <strong>of</strong> the auditions, one can tell the<br />
great distance a lot <strong>of</strong> participants must cover to come to<br />
Dresden. Beginning in March the directors <strong>of</strong> the competition<br />
will be travelling through Europe, Russia, USA, Asia and<br />
Latin America. In search for outstanding talents the auditions<br />
will be accompanied by high-ranking delegations <strong>of</strong><br />
important representatives <strong>of</strong> culture and business, in order<br />
to establish a worldwide network for cultural exchanges.<br />
Auditions will be held in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and<br />
Mexico City, Santiago de Chile, Buenos Aires and Shanghai<br />

as well as in the metropolises <strong>of</strong> <strong>opera</strong> New York, Zurich<br />

On September 5, 2010 ten finalists will be standing on<br />
one <strong>of</strong> the most beautiful stages <strong>of</strong> <strong>opera</strong>, to be judged by<br />
famous <strong>opera</strong> and festival directors, singers, important<br />
representatives <strong>of</strong> media and agencies. Here the young and<br />
talented singers have the opportunity to present themselves<br />
to a unique network, <strong>of</strong>fering them every chance to launch<br />
an international career.<br />
This jury, the attractive special prizes and the final concert<br />
in the Semperoper give the competition a unique quality on<br />
the international competitive stage.<br />
Under the patronage <strong>of</strong> the Saxon State Minister for Science<br />
and the Fine Arts, Pr<strong>of</strong>. Dr. Dr. Sabine Irene Freifrau von<br />
Schorlemer, the Competizione dell’ Opera is co<strong>opera</strong>ting<br />
with the Saxony State Opera Dresden, Semper Opera House,<br />
the University <strong>of</strong> Music “Carl Maria von Weber” Dresden,<br />
the University <strong>of</strong> Arts Bremen, the Central German Broadcasting<br />
and the Theater Bremen.<br />
In 2010 the competition will be run by Competizione<br />
dell’Opera e.V. under the auspices <strong>of</strong> the FORUM TIBERIUS<br />
– International Forum for Culture and Business Dresden in<br />
collaboration with the Theater Bremen and the International<br />
Forum for Culture Theater Bremen. The semifinal will be<br />

talents will constantly be developed, forming a<br />

The competition is open to singers from all countries who<br />
study, have studied or were enrolled at a music college,<br />

The 1st round <strong>of</strong> the audition will be held in the same place<br />
from 26th to 27th August. After the transfer from Dresden to<br />
Bremen on August 28 the semifinal will be continued with<br />
the 2nd round on August 29, 2010 in the Theater Bremen.<br />
The final will be held in the Dresden Semper Opera House<br />
on September 5th, 2010.<br />

The registration form will only be processed if it has been<br />
correctly completed in full using block capitals. The following<br />
should be enclosed with the registration form:<br />
1. A copy <strong>of</strong> the competitor’s passport or ID card<br />
2. A copy <strong>of</strong> the competitor’s pro<strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong> study or<br />
qualifications for private students<br />
3. A current photograph (passport photograph)<br />
The competition coordinators are entitled to decline any<br />
application without stating the reasons for doing so. In<br />
exceptional cases, registrations will also be accepted on<br />
the day <strong>of</strong> the preliminary round. Missing documents in<br />
connection with an application sent by e-mail must be<br />
submitted by this date at the latest.<br />
The entrance fee for the Competizione dell’ Opera 2010 is<br />
divided into EUR 50 for the preliminary round and another<br />
EUR 50 for participating in the competition from the first<br />
round <strong>of</strong> the semifinal onwards. The EUR 50 for the respective<br />
preliminary round is to be paid in cash (or equivalent in<br />
local currency) in the organization <strong>of</strong>fice. Participants who<br />
qualify for the semifinal must pay the second instalment<br />
<strong>of</strong> EUR 50 in the organization <strong>of</strong>fice before the semifinal<br />
begins. The registration fee will not be reimbursed, neither<br />
wholly nor in part, if the participant is unable to take part.<br />
In Bremen participants <strong>of</strong> the preliminary round, first and<br />
second round and semifinal will be accommodated in host<br />
families. Written registration is binding. Should you be<br />
unable to attend, we request that you cancel in good time.<br />
Each participant must prepare to sing six arias in Italian<br />
by heart and in the original key.<br />

ConDItIonS <strong>of</strong> partICIpatIon<br />
These arias must consist <strong>of</strong> the following:<br />
1. Four compulsory arias from the list <strong>of</strong> arias<br />
2. Two arias <strong>of</strong> the participant’s choice from the entire<br />
Italian <strong>opera</strong> repertoire<br />
Each aria must be from a different <strong>opera</strong>. If the arias <strong>of</strong><br />
the participant’s choice are not on the list <strong>of</strong> arias, the participant<br />
must enclose a copy <strong>of</strong> the aria in question with<br />
the registration. The arias stated in the registration are<br />
binding. Répétiteur will be available. A personal répétiteur<br />
may be brought to the competition at the participant’s own<br />
expense. This should be noted on the registration form.<br />
By signing the registration form, the participant confirms<br />
that he/she has read these Conditions <strong>of</strong> Participation and<br />
consents to the following additional conditions:<br />
1. The selected participants undertake to compete in<br />
each round for which they qualify. Cancellation must<br />
be announced in advance with a justified reason for<br />
not attending.<br />
2. All competitors agree to participate in all rehearsals<br />
and concerts relating to the competition.<br />
3. Failure to attend the rehearsals and concerts shall<br />
result in forfeiture <strong>of</strong> the prize.<br />
Certificates <strong>of</strong> participation will be issued upon request.<br />
The jury reserves the right to not award prizes or to award<br />
prizes jointly. The jury’s decision is final and binding. There<br />
is no guarantee that all recitals will be held before the entire<br />
jury. The jury also reserves the right to hear only excerpts<br />
from the arias. This applies to the preliminary rounds and<br />
to the semifinal.<br />
The Competizione dell‘ Opera e.V. reserves the right to<br />
create, copy, distribute, process and/or edit recordings and<br />
visual material during the entire course <strong>of</strong> the preliminary<br />
rounds, rehearsals, semifinal and final. The rights granted<br />
shall extend to use for television, radio, print media and<br />
other electronic, digital and audiovisual media and online<br />
services as well as for advertising purposes. Competizione<br />
dell’ Opera e.V. may also assign these rights to television<br />
and radio stations. The entire competition shall be recorded<br />
for archive purposes. No fees will be paid to the participants.<br />
Prizewinners agree to mention at every performance and<br />
engagement for two years that they are winners <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Competizione dell’ Opera 2010. The German version shall<br />
be solely authoritative in cases <strong>of</strong> doubt with regard to<br />
interpretation <strong>of</strong> the text. The jury’s decision is final and no<br />
correspondence will be entered into.<br />

Each participant is free to choose one <strong>of</strong> the six arias for<br />
recital. Furthermore the jury reserves the right to request<br />
that another aria be chosen from the six. After the recitals,<br />

La Competizione dell´Opera da tredici anni a questa parte<br />
é riuscita ad affermarsi come una delle competizioni di<br />
canto più importanti al mondo. È l’unica che si dedica a un<br />
ricco repertorio dell’<strong>opera</strong> lirica italiana, dai raffinati suoni<br />
della musica antica, passando per Mozart, Verdi e Puccini<br />
fino alla diversità stilistica del xx secolo.<br />
Nel 1996 Pr<strong>of</strong>. Dott. Hermann Rauhe, allora presidente<br />
dell’Università di Musica e Teatro di Amburgo fondò, in collaborazione<br />
con la compagnia Unilever Germania, il concorso<br />
“I Cestelli Competizione dell’Opera”. Responsabile<br />
alla direzione era Hans-Joachim Frey, adesso intendente<br />
del Teatro di Brema. Dal 2001 la competizione si è stabilita<br />
a Dresda e da allora questo evento culturale gode, oltre i<br />
confini della città sull’Elba, di fama internazionale in tutto<br />
il mondo.<br />
Nel 2010 la competizione si terrà per la 10a volta. Dal<br />
1996 ad oggi quasi 100 finalisti di questo concorso hanno<br />
conquistato i palcoscenici lirici di tutto il mondo. Grazie ad<br />
una esemplare partnership di pubblico e private, aziende<br />
e molti mecenati privati hanno raccolto oltre 2,7 milioni di<br />
Euro per sostenere con continuitá questo programma per<br />
giovani artisti.<br />
Una semplice occhiata sulla lista dei turni preliminari lascia<br />
intendere quanta strada viene percorsa per partecipare<br />
a Dresda. Da marzo in poi la direzione del concorso si trova<br />
in viaggio per l’Europa, la Russia, gli Stati Uniti, l’Asia e<br />
l’America Latina. In cerca di eccellenti e giovani talenti,<br />
i gruppi preliminari sono accompagnati da delegazioni di<br />
esponenti di cultura ed economia, per stabilizzare la rete<br />
di valorizzazione di questi giovani talenti. Mosca, San<br />
Pietroburgo, Città del Messico, Santiago de Chile, Buenos<br />
Aire e Shanghai sono tappe importanti quanto le metropoli<br />
dell’Opera New York, Zurigo o Vienna.<br />
Dieci finalisti si incontreranno sotto gli occhi di una giuria<br />
formata da intendenti d’<strong>opera</strong>, direttori di festival, famosi<br />
cantanti e rappresentanti di agenzie e di media, su uno dei<br />
palchi d’<strong>opera</strong> più belli del mondo. questa giuria, unica<br />
per la sua grandezza e composizione internazionale <strong>of</strong>fre<br />
a tutti i giovani talenti accesso a una rete che permette di<br />
fare un salto verso una carriera internazionale.<br />
questa giuria, i premi e il concerto finale nella Semperoper<br />
di Dresda danno a questa competizione un carattere unico<br />
nel panorama dei concorsi internazionali.<br />

Nel 2010 la Competizione dell’Opera formerà parte del<br />
FORUM TIBERIUS – Forum Internazionale di Cultura ed<br />
Economia, a Dresda, in collaborazione con il Teatro di<br />
Brema e il Forum Internazionale della Cultura del Teatro di<br />
Brema. La semifinale sarà organizzato presso l’Accademia<br />
Musicale "Carl Maria von Weber" di Dresda e il Teatro di<br />
Brema. In tal modo si sviluppa ulteriormente il pensiero<br />
della valorizzazione dei talenti e si costituisce un ponte culturale<br />
attraverso tutta la Germania, da Dresda a Brema.<br />

Il SEMPEROPERNBALL e.V. <strong>of</strong>fre ad un premiato la opportunità<br />
di una promozione particolare legata ad un´esibizione<br />
di gala del Semperopernball davanti a migliaia di spettatori<br />
nel gennaio 2011 che sará trasmesso in diretta dalla TV di<br />
stato tedesca.<br />
Il concorso è indetto per cantanti di tutte le nazioni che<br />
studino, abbiano studiato o siano stati per breve tempo<br />
immatricolati a un’Accademia di Musica, un Conservatorio<br />
o un’istituzione equivalente.<br />
Studenti privati devono esibire qualificazioni e documentazioni<br />
comparabili per la partecipazione al concorso. Dopo<br />
un esame di dette documentazioni la direzione della competizione<br />
concede la partecipazione al concorso.<br />
I vincitori del concorso “I Cestelli Competizione dell’ Opera”<br />
1996 o 1998 così come della “Competizione dell’ Opera”<br />

ConDIZIonI DI parteCIpaZIone<br />
La semifinale inizierà il 25 agosto 2010 con l'iscrizione<br />
dei partecipanti presso l’Accademia Musicale "Carl Maria<br />
von Weber" di Dresda. Il 1° turno di audizioni si<br />
terrà nello stesso luogo dal 26 al 27 agosto. Dopo il<br />
trasferimento da Dresda a Brema il 28 agosto la semifinale<br />
sarà proseguita con il 2° turno il 29 agosto 2010 al Teatro<br />
di Brema. Il 5 settembre 2010 si svolgerà la finale al teatro<br />
Sächsische Staatsoper a Dresda, Semperoper.<br />

Al modulo d’iscrizione sono da allegare:<br />
1. una copia del passaporto o della carta d’identità<br />
2. una copia del libretto di studi ovvero delle<br />
qualificazioni nel caso di studenti privati<br />
3. una foto tessera attuale<br />
La direzione del concorso ha il diritto di rifiutare l’iscrizione<br />
senza darne motivo. In casi eccezionali l’iscrizione può<br />
essere accettata anche lo stesso giorno dei rispettivi turni<br />
preliminari. Documenti eventualmente mancanti in concomitanza<br />
con l’iscrizione via email devono essere consegnati<br />
al più tardi entro questo termine.<br />
La quota d’iscrizione al concorso Competizione dell’ Opera<br />
2010 è suddivisa in EUR 50 per i turni preliminari e altri<br />
EUR 50 per la partecipazione al concorso a partire dal 1°<br />
turno delle semifinali. Il giorno del rispettivo turno preliminare<br />
si deve versare una somma di EUR 50, eventualmente<br />
in valuta nazionale, in contanti all’ufficio organizzativo. I<br />
partecipanti che si qualificano per la seminfinale versano<br />
la seconda quota di partecipazione di EUR 50 prima<br />
dell’inizio della semifinale all’ufficio organizzativo.<br />
In caso di impedimento di un partecipante successivamente<br />
all’iscrizione la quota di partecipazione non può<br />
essere restituita né parzialmente né per intero. A Brema i<br />
partecipanti del turno preliminare e della semifinale saranno<br />
alloggiati da “famiglie ospitanti”. L’iscrizione scritta è<br />
impegnativa. In caso di impedimento si prega di avvisare<br />
per tempo.Ogni partecipante deve preparare per il concorso<br />
sei arie a memoria in lingua italiana e tonalità originale.<br />

qUESTE ARIE DEVONO ESSERE COSÌ COMPOSTE:<br />
1. quattro arie obbligatorie dalla lista delle arie<br />
2. due arie a libera scelta dall’intero repertorio<br />
lirico italiano<br />
Ogni aria deve essere tratta da un’altra <strong>opera</strong>. Nel caso<br />
che le arie a libera scelta non siano elencate nella lista<br />
delle arie, i partecipanti sono tenuti ad allegare una copia<br />
della relativa aria al momento dell’iscirzione. Le arie indicate<br />
insieme all’iscrizione sono impegnative. Sono disponibili<br />
ripetitori. A proprie spese è possibile portare il proprio<br />
ripetitore personale. questo è da indicarsi sul modulo<br />
d‘iscrizione.<br />
La firma sull’iscirzione conferma la presa d’atto delle condizioni<br />
di partecipazione così come il consenso delle seguenti<br />
condizioni aggiuntive:<br />
1. I partecipanti selezionati si impegnano a partecipare<br />
ai rispettivi turni successivi. In caso di impedimento<br />
a ragione è richiesto un avviso per tempo.<br />
2. Tutti partecipanti del concorso si impegnano a parte-<br />
cipare a tutte le prove e i concerti in relazione al con-<br />
corso.<br />
3. La non partecipazione alle prove e ai concerti implica<br />
la rinuncia al premio.<br />
Su richiesta si emettono certificati di partecipazione.<br />
La giuria si avvale del diritto di non riconoscere o dividere<br />
premi. questa decisione è incontestabile e impegnativa.<br />
Non si assumono garanzie che tutti i turni siano seguiti<br />
dalla giuria al completo. Inoltre la giuria si riserva il diritto<br />
di ascoltare solo pezzi delle arie. questo vale per i turni<br />
preliminari e per la semifinale.<br />
L’associazione Competizione dell’ Opera e.V. ha il diritto di<br />
realizzare, durante l’intero svolgimento dei turni preliminari,<br />
delle prove, della semifinale e della finale registrazioni<br />
e riprese in immagine, di duplicarle, diffonderle, elaborarle<br />
e/o modificarle. I diritti concessi si estendono all’utilizzo<br />
per la televisione, la radio, la stampa, e i media elettronici,<br />
digitali, audiovisivi e i servizi online, a scopi pubblicitari.<br />
questi diritti possono essere ceduti dall’associazione Competizione<br />
dell’Opera e.V. anche alla televisione e alla radio.<br />
L’intero concorso verrà registrato a scopo di archiviazione.<br />
Ai partecipanti non sarà pagato nessun compenso.<br />
I premiati del concorso si impegnano ad indicare per due<br />
anni in ogni loro spettacolo e ingaggio che sono vincitori<br />
della “Competizione dell’ Opera 2010”.<br />
In caso di dubbi sull’interpretazione del testo vale esclusivamente<br />
la versione tedesca.<br />
