Für den Wettbewerb hat jeder Teilnehmende sechs arien in italienischer sprache und originaltonart auswendig vorzubereiten:<br />

vier Pflichtarien und zwei arien nach freier Wahl. Jede arie muss einer anderen oper entnommen sein.<br />

For the contest every participant has to prepare six arias in italian and original key by heart: four compulsory arias and two free choice arias. every aria must be taken from a different <strong>opera</strong>.<br />

Per il concorso ogni partecipante deve prepare sei arie in lingua italiana e in tonalità originale: quattro arie obbligatorie e due arie a scelta libera. ogni aria dev’essere presa da un’altra <strong>opera</strong>.<br />

The FORUM TIBERIUS was founded in 2003 as the International Forum for Culture<br />

and Business in order to begin a dialogue between culture and business.<br />

An active network consisting <strong>of</strong> persons engaged in the cultural sector and<br />

representatives from business and politics should give important impulses to<br />

support innovative artist advancement and create modern synergetic effects<br />

between culture and business. „What can culture do for business?“ is the provocative<br />

leading question in the debate <strong>of</strong> the FORUM TIBERIUS. A quadriga <strong>of</strong><br />

culture, business, politics and science is giving answers.<br />

By utilizing top-class lecture events, concerts, and creating opportunities for<br />

the advancement <strong>of</strong> artists the FORUM TIBERIUS positions itself as a unique<br />

institution in Germany.<br />

EVENTS<br />

Our events seek to connect the business <strong>of</strong> today with the culture <strong>of</strong> our time.<br />

Top class speakers from business, politics, science and culture allow members<br />

an insight to actual topics with social relevance. These speeches are annually<br />

documented in a book to bring the dialogue to the public.<br />

It is important for us to have a good communication between both the business<br />

and the cultural communities. Therefore, the FORUM TIBERIUS creates a<br />

unique atmosphere <strong>of</strong> speakers punctuated by musical performances in the<br />

extraordinary ambiance <strong>of</strong> the “Kajo Schommer Lounge” directly at the Frauenkirche.<br />

The dynamic <strong>of</strong> the projects, collaborations and events has exceeded<br />

the frontiers <strong>of</strong> Saxony and Germany.<br />

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS<br />

Advancement <strong>of</strong> young artists is future-oriented and one significant part <strong>of</strong> the<br />

philosophy <strong>of</strong> the FORUM TIBERIUS. The Forum runs one <strong>of</strong> the world’s biggest<br />

privately financed young artist programs. The principle <strong>of</strong> collective platforms<br />

is used for a global advancement <strong>of</strong> the best young artists. In that way the<br />

FORUM TIBERIUS provides an international stage for these young artists so<br />

that they may have the opportunity to advance their careers.<br />

The “Competizione dell’Opera” garnished a reputation as one <strong>of</strong> the most<br />

famous competitions <strong>of</strong> classical belcanto. In addition to the singing contest<br />

the Forum initiated the International Piano Competition “Anton G. Rubinstein”<br />

in 2003 which draws every second year young piano virtuosos from all over the<br />

world to Dresden.<br />

The culture comes back where it took its beginning: in the society and in the<br />

care <strong>of</strong> the mind and senses.
