Qual è la tua visione della donna in questa società, e
come la percepisci sul cammino verso il risveglio?
«Visto che stiamo entrando nell’Età dell’Oro, dico subito che è
anche considerata l’età delle donne. Le donne avranno un posto
di rilievo nel condurre gli altri, sarà così nel campo della medicina,
della scienza, della spiritualità. I tempi sono così. Sembra che
questo debba succedere per creare un grande cambiamento nella
consapevolezza umana, e le donne giocheranno il loro ruolo in
questo senso. Per tantissimo tempo sono state oppresse, anche
quando pensi a Dio non riesci a immaginartelo donna… Questo
fatto ha creato squilibrio nella società, per millenni. E non è solo
colpa dell’uomo il fatto di aver relegato la donna a un ruolo di
secondo piano. È stato forzato a molti livelli, sociale, religioso,
c’era sempre qualcuno che comunicava “non la donna, non la
donna…”. Persino le donne sono abituate a guardare a se stesse
in questa chiave. Adesso c’è una gara in corso, le donne tentano
di competere con l’uomo e di dimostrare che valgono allo stesso
modo. Ma così le cose non funzionano.
Le donne e gli uomini sono complementari tra loro, non devono
affatto cercare di essere la stessa cosa. La donna ha il dono
dell’intuizione, del cuore, può sentire, ha così tanti doni che un
uomo non ha… Dovrebbe scoprirli per se stessa e, una volta
consapevole del suo valore, sentire un profondo rispetto per sé, non
aspettare che questo le arrivi dalla competizione con l’uomo...
In India c’è un movimento chiamato “Movimento di liberazione
della donna”, questo perché per migliaia di anni la spiritualità
è stata delle donne; oggi, invece, non possono essere leader
spirituali, per esempio non possono condurre le Homa, cioè i riti
del fuoco. Nella Oneness University, invece, tutto questo succede:

e il suo Cuore
About women
What is your vision about women in today’s
society and how do you perceive the role of
women on the journey to awakening?
We are entering the Golden Age and I think it
will also be the age of women. Women will play
an important role in guiding others in medicine,
science and also in spiritual terms. It’s
the right time. Apparently this has to happen
to create a great change in the consciousness
of mankind, and women have their role to play
in this sense. They have been suppressed for a
long time, even when you think of God you
don’t imagine a woman … For thousands of
years this has created un unbalance in society.
Women have not been relegated to a secondary
role only by man: this has happened also on a
social and religious level, there has always been
someone who has said “no not women, no not
women …”. Even women are used to thinking
about themselves in these terms. Now there is
a competition underway, women try to com-
pete with men to demonstrate that they are like
them. But it’s not like this. Women and men
complement each other, they must not be the
same thing. Women have the gift of intuition,
they feel with their hearts, they have so many
gifts that men don’t have….. A woman should
rediscover these gifts and once aware of them
feel respect for herself, and not have to compete
with man….You have to discover yourself to
see the potential of every woman. For example
in India there is a movement called “Women’s
freedom movement”; for thousands of years in
India spirituality belonged to women but today
they cannot be spiritual leaders, or for example
hold Omas i.e. fire rituals. At the Oneness University
all this is possible; women hold Omas
and are active guides on the Campus. This has
created many incredible situations, or better,
incredible effects in terms of social reactions.
At the Oneness University we have more female
(they are also course guides) than male monks

incredibili, sì, effetti incredibili a livello di reazioni sociali direi.
Alla Oneness University abbiamo più donne monache (sono
anche guide dei corsi) che uomini, ed è un fatto molto inusuale per
la cultura indiana. I fondatori del movimento, Amma e Bhagavan,
sono marito e moglie e sono un solo avatar, anche in questo caso
la posizione della donna è di assoluta parità (…).
La donna è molto più bella e completa quando il suo cuore è
risvegliato, quando può “sentire” le altre persone. Il fatto che
perda questa abilità non è cosa buona né per lei, né per la sua
famiglia, non lo è neppure per la società. La donna ha bisogno
che il suo cuore resti vivo, perché così è stata disegnata, questa
è la sua specificità. Se questo succede la società è più sana (…).
In questi tempi, aggiungo, chi fa esperienza di Dio lo fa sempre
più nel modo del femminile. Chi lo realizza in stati di profonda
meditazione riporta di aver visto gli aspetti femminili del Dio
Shakti, ne sente quel tipo di energia. Anche dal punto di vista
della forma percepita, sta aumentando il numero delle persone
che fanno esperienza del divino descrivendolo nei suoi aspetti
decisamente femminili».

The founders of the movement, Amma and
Bhagavan, are husband and wife and are said to
be one single avatar, also in this case the woman’s
position is of absolute parity. (…) A woman is
much more beautiful and complete when her
heart is awakened, when she can “feel” other
people. It is not good for a woman to loose this
ability; it’s not good for her, for her family and
for society. A woman’s heart needs to be alive because
this is her destiny, this is her characteristic.
If this will happen society will be healthier. (…)
I would like to add that nowadays who experiences
God always does it in a feminine
way. Who sees god in deep states of meditation
describes to have seen the female traits of
the Shakti goddess and felt the feminine energy.
Also in terms of form perceived, an increasing
number of people are experiencing the divine in
a female form. The traits of god that they describe
are very feminine.
