La Piazza means “the square” and this award‐winning restaurant offers a selection of<br />

oven‐fresh pizzas, al dente pasta and fine wines served in rustic surroundings that will<br />

make you think of Italian grottos or sidewalk restaurants. The overall feel of La Piazza is<br />

enhanced by the stone floor, wooden tables, white stippled walls, brick, and wood<br />

ceilings.<br />

The emphasis in the restaurant is on the show kitchen, which features a wood‐burning<br />

pizza oven that lends a typical flavour to the pizzas, as well as a counter displaying<br />

vegetables and other food items from the land of this popular cuisine, plus the action<br />

created by the chefs as they cook pasta dishes and pizzas<br />

La Piazza houses the famous Renato for its Pizzas. Renato Ovens is bringing an age old<br />

tradition up to date of what wood‐ fire is cooking. Emphasis on natural cooking methods<br />

has led health conscious, dietary preference shifts towards lean, nutritious foods. Flame‐<br />

broiling enhances natural flavors without artificial additives or seasonings.<br />

Chef Alessandro Sandrolini, born in Bologna the capital city of the Emilia Romagna<br />

region has tailor‐made gourmet specialties that includes the finest vegetarian and non‐<br />

vegetarian culinary traditions and authentic elements, among them a choice of<br />

ingredients and sauces that have been developed to go perfectly with red or white wine<br />
