8.2.3 NON-POLYPOID ADENOMAS<br />
The basic role of the pathologist is to confirm the adenomatous<br />
nature of the lesion and determine the degree of neoplasia and<br />
exclude invasion. Non-polypoid adenoma correspond to an<br />
endoscopical diagnosis IIa, IIb, IIc according to the Paris<br />
Classification and, when possible, the endoscopical diagnosis should<br />
be mentioned in the histological report.<br />
