1. Push spool head (3) with inserted spool onto the driveshaft.2. Screw in fastening screw (4) anticlockwise.3. Brace driver plate (2) using Allen key (1).4. Tighten the fastening screw anticlockwise with thespanner (5).Installing the handlebar (Fig. 8)1. Push lower handlebar part (1) into the holder on theupper handlebar part until lever (2) engages.2. Use tensioning screw (3) to secure the handlebarconnection.Start-upIMPORTANT!Always perform a visual check prior to start-up.Starting the electric brushcutter1. Guide the extension cable through the strain relief,see Fig. 10.2. Connect the extension cable to the mains supply.3. Pass the carry strap over your left shoulder (Fig. 9)and hook the strap into the eye on the top handlebar(Fig. 1/7).4. Stand securely.5. Hold the machine with both hands. Do not place thecutter head on the ground when doing this.6. With one hand, grip the additional handle (Fig. 1/8);with the other hand, grip the upper handle (Fig. 1/4)and, at the same time, press the lower switch, seeFig. 11.7. Press the switch in the upper handle (Fig. 1/5) andhold it pressed, see Fig. 12. The machine only runswhen both switches are pressed.8. Let the electric brushcutter run at idling speed for afew seconds. This causes the cutting line to be cut offto the correct length.9. The machine switches off when a switch is released.After the machine has been switched off, the spoolhead continues to rotate for a few seconds.Operation• Switch on the machine before approaching the grassto be cut.• Angle the machine forwards slightly, and walk forwardsslowly.• Sweep the machine to the right and left in order to cutthe grass.Long grass must be cut in several passes. Always proceedfrom top to bottom.Tap the spool head on the ground from time totime when working. The automatic tip functionalways keeps the line at optimum length.• Make sure the motor is stopped before you removeany cuttings.IMPORTANT!The vibration value during use of the electricalimplement may differ from the indicated value,depending on what the machine is used for.• Do not overload the machine during work.Extending the cutting line1. Run the motor at full speed and tap the spool head onthe ground.• The line is automatically extended.TrimmingThe knife on the guard plate shortens the line tothe permitted length.1. Check the ground and define what is the required cutheight.2. Guide the spool head at the required height and holdit there.3. Sweep the machine from side to side with a scythingmotion.4. Always keep the spool head parallel with the ground.Low trimming1. Guide the machine with a slight forward angle so thatit moves just above the ground level.2.
