DESCRIPTION AND FUNCTIONS• Attach the base of the unit to the wall, using thedowels (2x) and the screws (2x) provided with theproduct.• Pass the connection wires through the opening inthe base.• Remove the screws (“B” on the diagram) andthen remove the 230 V A/C protection covering(“A”).• Connect all the wires as indicated on the relevantdiagrams.• When connecting the 5 telephones to the unit,ensure that the correct signalling polarity isfollowed by using the jacks provided with thetelephones (refer to the appropriate diagram forthe correct wiring of the jacks).• After completing all the connections, replace the230V A/C protective covering and fi x in place.− The telephone connections must be made byconnecting a sheathed telephone cable to a pair.If you decide to use a multipair cable, no otherseparate pair, for example for the transmissionof power, video images, or data, may be used.As set out in EC regulations, cables belonging toincompatible systems must be housed in separatetubes, and be connected to separate connectionboxes.− The unit may be installed in conjunction with aPABX.DANGERABThe busy lamp fi eld expansion device must be usedin conjunction with an Agorà series PABX. It allowsyou to add up to 5 more busy lamp fi eld telephonesto the exchange, over and above those alreadypresent on the PABX. Furthermore, it is possibleto use more than one 1332/55 unit with the samePABX. It comes with removable terminal boardsto make connection easier, and is powered by a230V A/c mains supply. Once installed, the unit isup and running – it does not require any action orprogramming on the part of the user.
