Installation<strong>CoolAir</strong> <strong>RT880</strong>, <strong>SP950</strong>You can connect the unit to the battery via the lorry's terminal block ordirectly. The terminal block is to be preferred for the connection. Ask yourvehicle manufacturer for the specifications of the terminal block.➤ Lay the supply line and connect it to the vehicle (red line to plus, blackline to minus).➤ Plug in the supply line plug into the socket of the air conditioning roofunit supply line.➤ To relieve strain on the supply line, secure it with a cable tie, e.g. tothe cab roof.6.2.6 Installing supply lines to the condenser unit (<strong>SP950</strong> only)Observe the following instructions when installing the supply lines:• Also observe the installation instructions for the condenser unit.• The maximum cable length between the evaporator and condenserunit is 4.20 m (fig. 6, page 6).• When installing and bending supply lines, avoid narrow radii. Use asuitable round object as a bending aid. A radius which is too narrowwill buckle the refrigerant line, and the air conditioner will be inoperable.➤ Shorten any supply line which is not needed by bending a curve.➤ Apply packing compound (fig. 7 1, page 6) to prevent water enteringbetween the rear wall of the truck and the clip.INOTEIf you wish to avoid damaging the rear wall of the truck (drilling a hole),you can also apply the clip using a suitable adhesive. Observe theinstructions provided by the adhesive manufacturer.➤ Fasten the supply lines to the rear wall of the truck using the clipsprovided (fig. 7, page 6).➤ Insert the corrugated piping in the holder provided (fig. 7 2, page 6).➤ Put the cover on (fig. 7 4, page 6).42EN
