NSB acute pain control technique has afforded us a tool which has enabled us to readily help patients for whom we have previously had to rely on only the RICE (or ICE-R) regimen, that is: rest, ice, compression, and elevation. In our experience, the application of NSB technique is recommended as the primary technique to be applied in dealing with painful injuries of any type, to be followed by the more traditional RICE therapies and related procedures. NSB technique is a powerful hands-on tool for relief of pain immediately following the onset up to one or two weeks following injury.
