NELA’s Summer Meeting

NELA’s Summer Meeting Includes Facility Tours Photos By Leslie Brienza Portsmouth, NH–The New England Lumbermen’s Association (NELA) convened here recently for its annual summer meeting, which was held this year at the Hampton Inn Portsmouth Downtown. NELA members and guests were treated to a buffet lunch at the Portsmouth Harbor Events and Conference Center. This was followed by a business discussion moderated by NELA President Bob Chase Jr. of Quabbin Timber. The association also gave special recognition to Champlain Hardwoods and longtime NELA member Dave Williams. Prior to the luncheon NELA gave attendees a guided tour of Abenaki Timber Corporation in Epping, NH and Northland Forest Products in Kingston, NH. Both companies market all grades and thicknesses of Appalachian and Northern Hardwoods.
