Norway Yearbook - 1973

Preface
The Statistical Yearbook of Norway contains data for the last years from various
fields of Norwegian statistics and a section of international statistics.
New statistics published in the present edition include data on physicians in medical
work and their weekly working hours. In the agricultural statistics are included holdings
discontinued as separate holdings, the number of holdings with livestock of different kinds,
and holdings cultivating various crops. Statistics of accounts for large enterprises in
mining, manufacturing and wholesale trade are added. New tables for personal taxpayers
and for households and their income are included. Various data on holiday houses such
as age of owner, geographical location, technical installations etc. are also included in this
edition of the yearbook. Other new data are hourly earnings in mining and manufacturing,
and benefits and allowances paid by the National insurance. Finally, some new
tables on colleges, persons with completed education and a survey on the advisory
referendum on Norway's accession to EC, are included in the present edition of the
statistical yearbook.
The Information Division of the Bureau has been in charge of the editing of the
yearbook.
