crânio-facial, como também da articulação temporomandibular e todo o sistema estomatognático. Em
última análise, essas alterações influenciam diretamente na maturação neuro-muscular, desenvolvimento
da oclusão dentária e cinemática mandibular.
Desta forma, é essencial que os clínicos e pesquisadores tenham pleno conhecimento das
implicações dos desvios de desenvolvimento e crescimento, assim possibilitando um melhor diagnóstico
das etiologias e tratamento precoce das desordens e dores de origem craniomandibular.
