MUSEU ARQUEOLÓGICO DE S. MIGUEL DE ODRINHAS
Actualmente, a exposição permanente
do Museu articula-se em
torno da secção designada
“O Livro de Pedra”. Aqui contamse
cerca de dois milénios de
História. Ao percorrer a exposição,
o visitante depara-se com todo um
conjunto de pedras tumulares, sarcófagos,
estelas, altares e lintéis,
desde a época etrusca à Idade
Moderna, com especial relevância
para a notável colecção de lápides
romanas epigrafadas, reconhecidamente
uma das mais significativas
da Península Ibérica.
Na área adjacente ao Museu estão
implantadas as ruínas arqueológicas
de São Miguel de Odrinhas,
onde pode observar-se uma necrópole
medieval, utilizada entre meados
do século XII e inícios do século
XVI, directamente relacionada com a
primitiva igreja de São Miguel.

MUSEU DO AR
O Museu do Ar possui um acervo
de elevado valor histórico, artístico
e documental. A exposição permanente
do museu apresenta aviões,
hélices, painéis de instrumentos,
equipamentos de navegação e
muitos outros objectos que assinalam
a evolução histórica da aviação.
Das aeronaves expostas, destacam-se
o célebre caça britânico
Spitfire, o Tiger Moth, biplano de
treino elementar e acrobacia, e o
Widgeon, um anfíbio bimotor.
Existem também algumas réplicas
perfeitas que representam aviões
célebres dos primeiros tempos da
aviação.

The Museum’s permanent exhibition is
centred around the section named “The
Stone Book”. Here, approximately two
millenniums of history are told from the
inscriptions and the iconographic elements
of the stone monuments. When
visiting the exhibition, one sees tomb
stones, sarcophagi, slabs, altars, and
lintels from the Etruscan era till the
Modern Age, with special emphasis on
the remarkable collection of Roman
epigraphed gravestones, recognizably
one of the most significant of the
Iberian Peninsula.
In the area adjacent to the Museum
there are the archaeological ruins of
São Miguel de Odrinhas, where one can
see a medieval necropolis used
between the middle of the 12th century
and the 16th century, directly related to
the original Church of São Miguel.
Guided visits to the Museum comprehend
the ruins, as well as the Church of
St. Michael, and are led by specifically
trained guides.

– 1.00 p.m., and 2.00 p.m. – 6.00 p.m.

The Air Museum has valuable collections
from the historical, artistic, and
documental point of view. The museum’s
permanent exhibition shows planes,
rotor blades, instrument panels, navigation
equipment, as well as may other
objects that mark the history of
aviation.
The planes on display include the
famous British fighter-plane Spitfire,
the Tiger Moth, a training and acrobatics
biplane, and the Widgeon, a twinengine
amphibian aircraft. There are
also some perfect replicas of famous
planes from the early days of aviation.
Opening hours: 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Last entry at 4.30 p.m.
