Abstract<br />
This narrative is about the initial steps of the mov<strong>em</strong>ent of the<br />
Brazilian people with albinism. It stresses out the differences between<br />
albino activism in the northeast and the southeast of the country.<br />
In the northeast, the mov<strong>em</strong>ent took shape with the creation of<br />
an association, the APALBA, whereas some albinos in the southeast<br />
use the internet and the media for our struggle for visibility and<br />
specific public policies. As an example of the latter, we tell the story<br />
of the Blog <strong>do</strong> Albino Incoerente, which brought to attention the<br />
th<strong>em</strong>e of albinism both nationally and internationally.<br />
