Denys KOSTRZHEVSKYI,
Head of the Board of Directors of the
International Airport Kyiv (Zhulyany)
DEAR FRIENDS, PASSENGERS
AND GUESTS OF KYIV!
New year 2017 is the year of hope and expectations!
In total in 2016 International airport Kyiv (Zhulyany)
provided services for 1 million 127 thousand passengers
and in comparison with the previous year its growth
is almost by 20%. Our plan is to overcome an index of
2 million passengers in 2017.
Despite the economic crisis we are trying to move
forward. At the beginning of January this year we
solemnly opened a tourist information center – this is
kind of a guide for guests of Kyiv and Ukraine, especially
for those arriving for the first time.
We are expanding our technical capabilities and
staff. In January we announced a competition for the
top vacancies. We are glad to take new employees into
our team including passenger handling service, aviation
security service.
Statistics is a concrete and an unconditional science.
Every month on the web-site of the International Airport
Kyiv we publish the figures showing that airlines meet
the demands of passengers – open new destinations and
the airport is trying to improve its rendered services by
all means.
The airline WizzAir presented on Christmas a new
flight Bratislava–Kyiv–Bratislava for all residents of
Ukraine and in summer opens three new flights from the
airport Kyiv to Warsaw (Poland), Nuremberg (Germany)
and Copenhagen (Denmark). To perform new flights to
Kiev WizzAir shall add one aircraft to the Kyiv base.
The number of flights on existing routes from Kyiv (to
Budapest, Dortmund, Cologne, Bratislava, Hamburg,
Memmingen) will also increase.
From February 26th the Polish Airline LOT will open
a daily direct flight to Warsaw from the capital airport.
The Polish carrier has become the largest airline in
the European Union which operates on the Ukrainian
market.
In May the largest Italian airline Alitalia opens a
regular direct flight to Rome from our airport.
You can appeal with numbers and statistics long.
However, it is better to see everything with your own eyes
and feel positive emotions from new journeys personally.
Get involved in our friendly family and let each your
journey start from the capital airport Kyiv!
Regards,
Denis KOSTRZHEVSKYI
