Editorial
This issue of progress Report is devoted
entirely to innovations and further
developments, on which we have been
working during the last few weeks and
months.
Again, and again suggestions and special
requests from our customers spur us on to
improve established products and to develop
new ones. This guarantees customer
satisfaction and is also the impetus for further
technical development.
We are therefore delighted to introduce
you in the following pages to interesting
further and new developments. The high
performance Twin MSR plant and the MSR
25 offer winning individual solutions. We also
present the multi-function Pluristar with its
innovative, integral bending system, the
innovative Infinity Line ® shuttering system
and the Smart BGM for the final processing
of mesh.
Your progress team
Our credo
Custom-made solutions – innovative and efficient
Individualised plant and machines to meet your needs
As always, our highest priority is satisfying
the needs of customers. Every single item
of plant and machinery is calibrated to specific
production requirements.
The best proof of the constant symbiosis
between innovation and individualisation is
the MSR range of straightening, cutting and
bending machines.
Twice as good
We have developed the high performance
Twin MSR even further, which makes it
possible to process wire diameters across
two lines, functioning independently of each
other. This is in many respects trend-setting:
It allows not only the straightening, cutting and
bending of wires up to a diameter of 20 mm,
it also offers unbeatable variability. Because of
its modular construction, the Twin MSR can be
installed with flexibility and calibrated to each
production hall. It can also be combined with
various straightening, collection and logistics
systems, which speeds up and simplifies the
production flow even further.
Even bigger and better
With the new MSR 25, wires with a diameter
of up to 25 mm can be processed. It is also
the first time coils weighing more than 5 t can
be processed. The flying shear, a new system
for feeding the wire, sturdy bending heads and
the established progress rotor straightening
system ensure the rapid, precise, protective
processing for which we are appreciated.
All this opens up a new dimension in rebar
processing.
We can provide individual solutions, thanks to a
huge variety of run-offs, with which all our plant
can be fitted. We offer fixed length or double
bending run-offs in various designs – the right
run-off optimises your production flow.
Twin MSR: twice as good
The flying shear makes for
rapid, accurate processing
The established rotor straightening
system contributes to consistent quality
Automatic stirrup-bender, straightener and 3-D double bending machine
Four in one
Pluristar innovation: 3-D bending system – a complete solution for perfection
A new 3-D bending system allows production of three-dimensional stirrups
Pluristar offers a huge plus in addition to its distinction as an
automatic stirrup-bender, straightener and double bending
machine: it has a new 3-D bending system. This four-in-one
design moves the Pluristar to represent a complete solution.
As well as producing stirrups and bars with substantial
bending, it is now possible to produce three-dimensional
stirrups in any shape imaginable.
The manufacturing process itself is very flexible, thanks to
a straightening system comprising a roller straightening unit
and a rotor straightening unit. Furthermore, the system is fully
automated and thus guarantees accurate, rapid production.
Pluristar works in the wire diameter range of 6 to 16 mm. The
wire is changed fully automatically or manually, as required.
The straightening system, comprising a roller straightening unit and a rotor straightening unit, is unique
Stirrups and bars in all shapes can
be produced with the Pluristar
Fully automated, accurate, fast and flexible, the Pluristar is an out and out winner
Innovative moulding system
Efficiency in every respect
Infinity Line ® : highest quality, cost-saving and fast –
An intelligent technical system, totally in tune with „Industry 4.0“
The key words, innovation and efficiency,
best describe the Infinity Line ® moulding
system, developed and patented by the
PROGRESS GROUP.
This system makes it possible to shutter
prefabricated concrete parts without gaps
and without using polystyrene extensions. An
ingenious combination system reduces the
number of emplacement units to a minimum.
This innovative shuttering system ensures not
only a considerable saving in work, time and
material, but also scores with an end product of
exceptional quality: precast concrete sections
with flawless outer edges.
Furthermore, the use of Infinity Line ® also
benefits the environment. According to
PROGRESS GROUP calculations, by
conserving grey energy, CO 2
emissions can be
reduced by 14 t per annum.
Infinity Line ® is a system of the future, which
satisfies all the requirements of „Industry 4.0“
high-tech strategy and significantly simplifies
and reduces the cost of the shuttering process.
Perfect outer edges thanks to Infinity Line ®
The shuttering robot positions the
emplacement units fully automatically
Processing of mesh
Smart bending of standard mesh
Smart BGM: innovative, flexible, versatile
progress Maschinen & Automation have
recently introduced a newly developed
machine to provide an innovative solution
for bending standard mesh and stacking the
finished products: the Smart BGM.
Its sturdy steel structure consists of two
bending machines, which run independently
of each other and which allow fully automatic
bending of mesh. A variety of shapes
and bending angles are possible: square,
rectangular and triangular shapes and open
shapes with 90° to 135° angles can be
manufactured.
Depending on the mesh it is possible to
produce cages in a variety of sizes and with
different wire diameters. If required, the number
of cages to be stacked can also be determined.
The Smart BGM is therefore perfectly suited for
fully automatic serial manufacturing of cages to
be put on storage.
A huge variety of shapes and bending angles
can be produced with the Smart BGM
Two bending machines, operating independently of
each other, allow mesh to be bent fully automatically
Another plus point for the Smart BGM is
the fully automated production process
