Det luktar så gott och jag använder sällan handskar. 7 <strong>Min</strong> Helg Pelargon – ett säkert tips. Han började pressa växter till sitt herbarium, pluggade deras latinska namn och sju år gammal hade han redan sitt eget lilla växthus där han odlade tomater, majs och gurka. – Ingen annan i familjen har ett sådant starkt intresse för att odla <strong>som</strong> jag. Jag vet inte varifrån jag fått det. Jag tror att man bara är född med det. Micael svänger upp framför det vita huset med vita fönsterluckor. Som en slöja döljer det mycket av trädgårdens prakt. Först när man går runt till baksidan ser man generösa böljande gräsmattor <strong>som</strong> sträcker sig ned mot den lilla stranden. Den perfekt klippta gräsmattan bryts av berghällar och vackert anlagda rabatter, grönsaksland och hundraåriga gamla ekar. När Micael köpte huset var det snarast en övervuxen skogstomt, nu växer här vallmo, svavelpioner, syren, begonior, stora rosor, bambu, exotiskt gräs, rhododendron, magnolia och mycket mer. När man blir med trädgård är ett vanligt fel man gör att man köper för många sorter och bara två eller tre av varje. Det ger ett plottrigt uttryck. Det är bättre att köpa mycket av en eller bara några få sorter. Det ger bäst effekt. den. Jag har <strong>hela</strong> förråd med hemgjord chutney, marmelader och krämer. Han och vännen Stina Dabrowski har en dag om året då de tillsammans länsar sina respektive trädgårdar på allt i frukt- och bärväg. Sen låser de in sig i nästan ett dygn och håller paj-, saft- och syltseans. – Jag tycker det är roligare att göra än att äta själv, säger Micael. Och det är roligt att ge bort i present. Efter mycket tvekan beslutar han att tulpanträdet är den växt han är mest stolt över för tillfället. Egentligen är det helt fel klimatzon för det och till en början ursäktar han sig lite. – Det ser inte så kul ut just nu kanske. Men det har överlevt en vinter och bladen är helt fantastiska, säger han och tar ömt på de vackra och särpräglade löven <strong>som</strong> liknar gröna små svalor. Det är en uråldrig växt. Lyckas man dessutom att få det att blomma någon gång så är blommorna helt enorma, men det är väldigt ovanligt och kommer tidigast att hända om femton år. För Micael är trädgården en nödvändighet där han finner kontemplation och balans till sitt stressiga jobb med kändisar, fester och media. – Timmarna här är en investering i mig själv. Det håller mig i fysisk och psykisk balans. Som att gå och träna. Det är ingen uppoffring, utan en förutsättning för att orka med allt det andra, förklarar han. 2. Skaffa en självgående gräsklippare. Att klippa gräset är det tråkigaste av alla trädgårdsarbeten. 3. Om man gillar växter och blommor men inte har så mycket erfarenhet eller tid är pelargoner ett bra tips. Foto: JoHAn Fowelin Trädgården har även hjälpt honom rent praktiskt i jobbet. – En hel del av mina projekt har varit starkt influerade av mitt trädgårdsintresse. Stockholms 750-årsjubileum, den stora jubileumsgalabanketten i Stockholms stadshus, då Stockholms stad gav mig den stora äran att handha 1 880 sittande gäster med <strong>hela</strong> kungafamiljen på plats, var ett sådant tillfälle. Hela temat för den festen var syren. Blomman, den lila färgen, smaken och doften. Micael berättar att servetterna och stolsöverdragen färgades i Indien och att gästerna bjöds på glass med kanderade syrenblommor <strong>som</strong> efterrätt. I en del av trädgårdslandet har den tjocka vårsparrisen precis brutit igenom.
