Üstten küreselleşme dünyayısosyal, siyasi, kültürel, mali <strong>ve</strong> ekonomik açılardan daha homojen yapmayaçalışırken alttan küreselleşme taraftarları daha heterojen, fakat daha adil <strong>ve</strong>hakça bir dünya istemektedir. Çünkü üstten küreselleşme savunucularınınsadece kendi insanları için öngördüğü <strong>ve</strong> olmasını istediği daha müreffehbir dünyayı alttan küreselleşmeciler tüm dünya insanları için istemektedir.Dünya üzerinde yaşayan tüm insanların iktisadi olarak daha eşit, kültürelaçıdan daha farklı olmasını savunurlar. Alttan küreselleşme savunucularınıngiderek etkilerini arttırdıkları dikkate alındığında, küreselleşme sürecindedaha temel <strong>ve</strong> daha hayati sorunların tartışılacağı bir dönemin başlamasıbeklentisi artmaktadır.Abstract: This study is comprised of three sections. The meaning ofglobalization is analyzed in the first section. Different definitions andcomments de<strong>ve</strong>loped by various approaches are emphasized. In thesecond section, two different kinds of globalization process and evaluationsare examined. Globalization-from-abo<strong>ve</strong>, which is the struggle ofthe dominant powers in the system to control others parts of the world,tries to homogenize the world. Although it is seen as an opposite mo<strong>ve</strong>ment,globalization-from-below is an alternati<strong>ve</strong> process to globalizationfrom-abo<strong>ve</strong>.While globalization process has been beneficial for all sidesin terms of absolute gains, it has been in opposition to interests of somecountries in terms of relati<strong>ve</strong> gains.
